"Do you want some breakfast?" Dain asked her.

"Urm... yes please," Natalia said. "That's if we have enough time."

"Of course," Taredd said.

"There's always time for food," Dain added with a grin on his face.

Smiling back at him, she said: "Well then, yes please, I would love some breakfast."

Before she had a chance to move, Dain passed her a plate filled with bread, cheese, and cooked meat. She would have to get up soon enough, but for the time being, she was happy just to sit there being waited on hand and foot.

Having breakfast in bed was a first for her, and she had to admit, it was really nice. Never in her wildest dreams did she ever imagine a Demon and a Shapeshifter would be the ones to make her breakfast in bed for the first time.

Natalia could definitely get used to being treated like this. She may not be in a real bed, but it was still technically the same thing. It was just outside among nature instead of being cooped up inside a room.

As soon as Natalia was finished eating, she climbed down from the cart. Beelining it to a small stream not too far from where they had set up camp. She washed as best as she could before joining Taredd and Dain by the cart again.

"You ready to go?" Taredd asked her as she walked up to him.

"Yes.”

"Good,” he said, smiling down at her.

Smiling back, she accepted his help again to get back onto the cart. Natalia sat up front next to Taredd again, while Dain sprawled out in the back, snoring his head off. Natalia didn't know how anyone could sleep with the number of bumps they were going over.

They hadn't travelled that far before Natalia suddenly shouted: "Stop!"

"What's the matter?" Taredd asked as he brought the horses to a halt.

"There's a bunker over there,” she said, pointing into the woods.

"Are you sure?" Dain asked. "Because I don't see anything."

"Yes, I'm positive,” she told him.

Jumping down from the cart, Natalia walked off in the direction she had spotted the circular man hole cover that was used for a door, leaving Taredd and Dain no choice but to follow after her or wait at the cart. She didn't really care if they came with her or not.

Natalia shouldn't have been able to see it clearly from the road, but someone had left it open. It was probably to let some fresh air inside, but there was also the possibility that they had just forgotten to close it after themselves.

Either way, Natalia was going to have a word with whoever is in there. Simple mistakes like that could risk everyone else's lives.

As soon as the entrance came into view again, Natalia raced over to the entrance. Taredd grabbed her around the waist before she could swing her leg over the side, stopping her from climbing down the ladder.

"What are you doing?" she asked before demanding "Let go of me."

"Natalia, do your kind usually leave this open?" he asked, pointing at the open doorway.

"No, they don't,” she told him. "I plan on having a word with whoever left it open though, because they all know better than that."

"Dain, check it out down there please," Taredd said, still holding tight to Natalia.

"On it," Dain said, swiftly leaping over the side, not bothering to use the ladder.

"Why?" Natalia asked.

"Because something isn't right," he told her.

"What do you mean something isn't right? What's wrong?" she asked worriedly.
