Dad rolls his eyes. “Alright, we need a plan for Izzy. I’m calling Church. Torque, while we’re in there, have either Kaleb or Carson with Izzy and the girls. I don’t trust those other three fuck nuggets to watch a damn puppy, let alone our women.”

I have to agree with him. “Done.”

“Good. I’m calling Church.” He looks at me. “You think Izzy will be willing to give us any more information if we find anything?”

I nod. “She’s definitely not trying to hide anything.”

I look around and spot Carson coming in from outside. I crook my head at him and he follows me into the kitchen. When we enter, he asks, “What’s up?”

“Need you to keep an eye on Izzy and the girls while we’re in Church,” I say quietly. “If you can’t then Kaleb is the only other prospect I trust to watch them.”

“Done,” Carson says, pulling out his phone. “Kaleb had a family thing and is on his way back. I’ll let him know.”

I frown. “Another family thing?”

He nods. “His Mama is struggling with his younger brother. Apparently, he showed up high and with some other guy that wanted to cause problems. She called Kaleb in a panic.”

My frown deepens. I make a mental note to talk to him. If the club needs to help, he needs to know he can ask for it. “Alright, man. Thanks. And just so you know, they’re going to be a handful.”

He gives me a bland look. “I don’t believe you,” he deadpans. “They’re so perfect. Never cause any trouble.”

I laugh. “Smartass,” I say, punching his shoulder before I go to the fridge and grab a soft drink. I grab him one too and hand it to him before we head back into the common room. When we walk out, I groan when I realize that Sage, Syn, and Mom are here and sitting with Izzy on the couch. Shit. I thought I might still have some time before they sucked her in.

“I swear to God when I become a brother I’m asking Prez to create a rule about all the women being allowed to be together,” Carson mutters.

I snicker. “Good luck with that. Shadow already tried and you can see how well that worked out.” I clap him on the shoulder and head over to the couch.

All four women look at me, and Sage gives me a wicked smile. “Well hey there, handsome,” she drawls. “You here to make sure we’re not corrupting your girl?”

I look at Izzy. “Blink twice if you need to be rescued because you’re being held here against your will,” I say seriously.

She chuckles and holds her eyes open as wide as possible in response. She’s wearing a pair of black yoga pants and a black t-shirt that I recognize as one of my mother’s. Though it looks a hell of a lot better on her than my mother. “I still don’t see how you think they’re terrible influences,” she says after a moment. “They’re lovely.”

“Why does no one believe me when I say we’re fucking delights?” Sage demands, glaring at me.

I give her a bland look. “Says the jail bird herself.” I glance at Syn. “Can I at least trust you to keep these two from scaring her away? Or getting herself arrested?”

Syn smirks. “What do you think?”

I sigh. “We’re heading into Church. While we’re in there, Carson and Kaleb are in charge of keeping you safe. Don’t torture them, please,” I add when I see the amused glint in my mother’s eyes.

“What about the other prospects? What’s wrong with them?” Syn asks curiously.

I resist the urge to roll my eyes. “They have other jobs,” I answer instead. I narrow my eyes at Mom and Sage. “Behave.” Then I look at Izzy and arch a brow at her. “I don’t know if I should tell you to behave yet or not.”

Izzy arches a brow at me. “Why don’t you try it and find out?” she suggests, but her ton is clear enough to know that it won’t end well for me.

I chuckle, move forward and give her a quick hard kiss, and then turn and walk towards Church. I hear silence behind me, but I’m sure that won’t last long. I glance over my shoulder before I head into the room and see Izzy watching me with narrowed eyes, and the other girls grinning like Cheshire cats.

I walk in and shut the door behind me, being the last one to enter. Everyone is somber as they look at me. “Carson and Kaleb are in charge of looking after the girls,” I tell them as I take my seat. “Carson wants to put a motion forth when we make him a brother that they won’t be allowed to hang together anymore,” I add with a grin, lightening the mood a bit.

Barks of laughter and snorts echo through the room. “Kid has a lot to learn if he thinks that’s going to work,” Dad chuckles. “Izzy good?” he asks me.

I nod. “She hasn’t run screaming for the door yet, so I’ll take that as a good sign.”

Dad nods and bangs the gavel. “In case you haven’t figured it out, we’ve got a lead on our mob, and our new witness is none other than Izzy Mills, our newest guest.”
