“We shall see tomorrow night.”
“Excuse me, Kyle. Do you have a few minutes?” An ESPN reporter was standing next to Kyle, microphone in hand, waiting for the required sound byte for tonight’s Sports Center.
“Yeah, sure thing. Sorry, just got caught up with this pretty lady here.”
“Not a problem. I might be that way myself if she wrapped her arms around me, too.”
Kyle watched as a blush started at the beautiful curve of Callie’s chest and crept up her neck and blossomed on her cheeks. It was the cutest thing he had ever seen.
“Yeah, she’s pretty hard to resist. She tells me she doesn’t date athletes, but I’m trying to win her over.”
“It looks like you might be doing just that.”
“I sure hope so.” Callie held up her thumb and pinky to her ear in the universal call me gesture and Kyle gave her a wink and a nod. He couldn’t wait to get the interviews and his shower over with so he could grab his girl and go. Wherever, he didn’t care. As long as Curly was with him, he would be completely happy.
