“Oh, yeah. I love me some Maxie time!”

“You know he hates that nickname. He says it reminds him of a feminine hygiene product.”

“That’s why I do it,” Aria said with an evil grin.

“You are so bad.”

“I know. Life isn’t fun if you live it like an old lady.”

Callie laughed. She and Aria couldn’t be more different but she loved her like she was her own sister and she couldn’t imagine life without her. Aria definitely kept things more interesting, and Callie wouldn’t want it any other way.

Kyle stoodat the entrance of the tunnel, watching Callie dance with the rest of the group. He didn’t know where she learned her moves, but man, that girl of his could shake it. He was a gentleman, but moves like that sent his thoughts down a path that led him to he and Curly, well—he needed to think of something else before he walked out of the tunnel with a massive hard-on. Wouldn’t that be something for the masses to see?

“Man, Kelly, that girl of yours has some moves,” Jamal came up behind him and clapped him on the back. “If she moves like that on the dance floor, I can’t imagine how she moves—”

“Stop right there, Jamal, before you get yourself in trouble.”

“Hey, man. Just tryin’ to pay you a compliment. How goes your ‘hang outs’?” Jamal asked him in a distinctly mocking tone.

“They’re leaning more to the dating end of the spectrum, if I do say so myself.”

“You got any action yet?”

“A gentleman doesn’t kiss and tell, Jenkins.”

“You have! You sly dog, you! Man, you do have some moves! It’s gotta be the dimples. I wish I had some of those dimples, man. They’re killer.”

Kyle just shook his head. “You know you don’t have to play the ‘ever the playboy’ game with me like you do the media, Jamal. I know you. I know your adorable kid. I know how she is your entire world and you haven’t dated since her momma left you high and dry.”

Jamal smiled sheepishly. “I gotta keep up appearances, man. Otherwise, the media will be all over my family and you know I don’t want them in the spotlight.”

“I get that, man,” Kyle replied. “Just remember I know the real you. Got it?”

“Got it,” Jamal said, pounding Kyle on the shoulder with his fist.

“Your girl can dance, I admit,” Trevin said, coming up behind Kyle and Jamal. “But get a load of that auburn-haired beauty. Man, she’s got some legs that go on for days.”

Kyle looked over at the tall, leggy redhead that Trevin was referring to, Callie’s friend who scared everyone on the entire team. She definitely was a beauty, and very well-endowed. But as he compared her to Curly, she didn’t even hold a candle. Where the redhead was all curves, Callie was tall and athletic, but with a softness that was his exact type.

“Aw, look at them puppy dog eyes,” Jamal said, elbowing Trevin and pointing at Kyle. “He’s got it bad. Before long, he’ll be listenin’ to John Legend and writin’ love songs.”

“Too late, Jenkins. I’ve heard his playlist. His coffeehouse station on Sirius plays Legend and Jack Johnson.”

“Who?”

“You don’t want to know, man. You don’t want to know.”

Kyle just smiled at his friends. They could laugh at him all he wanted. He was getting under Callie’s skin, which was right where he wanted to be.

Their number ended and Curly was walking toward him, a smile on her face.

“Are you stalking me, Dimples?”

“I thought you agreed I could follow you around, Curly, or did you forget so soon?”

“That’s right. The whole twitterpated thing. I guess you’re off the hook then,” she said with a smile. “What are you doing?”

“Shoot around before the game.”
