Kyle quit texting his sister and looked at his other messages. One from his mom reminding him it was cold season and he needed to get a flu shot.
Kyle: Leave it to my doctor mom to remind me of that.
Mom: It’s in my genetics. Leave me be and get the damn flu shot.
Kyle: Does dad know of your newly found potty mouth?
Mom: I won’t tell if you won’t. ;)
Kyle bit back a laugh. His family was great. When he opened the last text, he broke out into a huge smile.
”Uh oh. Looks like Dimples done got himself a message from Vixen,” Jamal said to Trevin as all three began walking down the off ramp of the plane and into the airport.
“What makes you say that?” Trevin asked.
“Cuz he has that cheesy ass smile plastered on his face and his dimple’s come out of hibernation, that’s why.”
Kyle shushed his friends with a wave of his hand.
Callie: I have a favor.
Kyle: I don’t know if I can grant favors to people I am forcing to hang out with me.
Callie: What if I said I MIGHT have enjoyed myself, a LITTLE bit, when you met my daddy?
Kyle: Are you telling me you might like me a little bit, Curly? That I’m not an evil villain in your master plan known as life?

Kyle: I’ll take that as a yes. What do you need? Sexual healing?
Callie: NO! #perv Help with my senior project.
Kyle: Are you telling me I’m smarter than you?
Callie: No, I’m saying you’re famous, I’m not, and I want to exploit that fame for a grade.
Kyle: You mean you want to use the fact that I’m a big, mean ATHLETE to your advantage? I’m disappointed, Curly. Here I thought you were ‘hanging out’ with me for my fantastic people skills. You’re just using me for my fame? Next you’ll be asking to use me for my body.

Kyle smiled. Going back and forth with Curly was so much fun. He didn’t realize how boring his life was before he met her. She was unlike any other girl he had ever known.
Kyle: Go on and tell me what you need. I might be willing to help…if you admit you like me.
Callie: Fine, fine. I like you. A little.
Kyle: A little’s a start.
Callie: So I have this senior project and I want to do something broadcast-y to show that I have talent on screen.
Kyle: Is that a real word?
Callie: #shutup
Kyle: Do you always use hashtags when you use sarcasm?
