The first clench of her sex around him, and he was overcome with his orgasm. It slammed into him, barreling through. He gasped at the power of it, shocked to find they had reached fulfillment together.

He slowly pulled out of her and rolled to his side. She turned her head to him and smiled before turning onto her side. He’d always run when things got too familiar. The emotions within him had exceeded familiar, but he didn’t want to leave. He wanted to stay. With Tamlyn. It sounded odd, even to him, but that was the truth. They reached for each other at the same time. He couldn’t stop kissing her.

Cullen smoothed a curl off her cheek and smiled. “Och, lass. I think you’ve ruined me for anyone else.”

“Don’t tease,” she said.

He rolled onto his back and waited until she laid her head on his chest before wrapping his arm around her. “I’m no’.”

She was silent for a long moment. “I know you’ve ruined me for anyone else.”

Her words rang in his ears. Giving in to his need for her had put him somewhere he had never wanted to be—close to a woman. He’d known he was going down a road he’d never traveled before, but damn if he could make himself deviate. Even now, he was content. Happy, even.

Cullen cleared his throat, forcing his mind off such thoughts. “What now?”

“Can’t we just enjoy this moment a bit longer?”

He kissed her forehead. “That’s an excellent idea. I wish I would’ve thought of it myself.”

“I usually have great ideas.”

He chuckled and closed his eyes. Their legs remained intertwined as she draped over his chest. This was the exact position he’d never wanted to find himself in. He had run from anything even resembling it. Now, he was ready to fight anyone and anything that dared to destroy…whatever this was.

He didn’t want to name it. And he didn’t think she did either. There was no reason to. Things might look different in the light of day. It was a good thing no one asked him what this was then, because he might very well have said love.
