Ash lets out a scream of frustration, and then squats down beside us, tapping the gun against the side of his own head.

“I hate this,” he whispers, and then he stands up, turns and fires the gun into the far wall. The sound is deafeningly loud, echoing around the quiet space, but still, Alexei doesn’t stop. He doesn’t stop and God, I love him for it.

Instead, he fucks me until I’m coming hard around him, drenching him with hot liquid and arching my back, fingernails digging into the dirt floor beneath us. He grunts and yanks me harder against him, finding his release inside of me with several deep pumps.

When Alexei pulls out, he rises to his feet in a single graceful motion and extracts a gun that’s taped to the underside of the dining table. He levels it on Ash with one hand, yanking his sweatpants into place with the other.

“How dare you interrupt me like that?” he snarls, quivering all over. Pretty sure he’s freaking out about the dirt and the spit and my slick arousal coating his dick and balls. But he does an admirable job of pushing it aside in the name of jealous, male violence.

I roll my eyes, shoving my skirt back down as I struggle back to my feet. My legs are like jelly, and I could really use some chocolate and a nap, but … I take a step back, slip my hand into my discarded purse, and pull out the gun that Bohnes gifted me the other day.

Now I’m holding a weapon and both boys are staring at me.

“This is exactly why I don’t get involved with rich boys.” I close my eyes for a moment before opening them again. “Put your fucking weapons down—now.”

Neither one of them complies, so I aim the gun at the floor and fire off a round.

“I said now. I will play dominance games in the bedroom all you like. I will get on my knees and suck your dick. I’ll even call you sir if you want. But in the real world? There’s only one captain on this ship. Either you fall in line, or you can fuck off.” I look at Ash first, his arm shaking, his weapon held in one hand and pointed at Alexei. Ash stares at me, almost pleadingly. He looks sad and broken, and I want to hold him despite myself. Turning to the other boy, I see that he’s trembling just as badly—although for very different reasons—and clutching the pistol in both hands.

The doors to the safe house fly open and Widow sweeps in like a storm, fists clenched, the veins in his arms standing out in stark relief as he clenches his jaw and looks between the two rich boys like he isn’t sure which one he wants to kill first.

Bohnes lazily saunters in behind him, lips pulled down in a severe frown.

“Oh, look, a firefight.” He moves past Widow to stand beside me, arms crossed, and contemplates the situation. “Are we meeting with the hacker or not? This isn’t a repeat offer.”

Ash lowers his gun first and Alexei follows.

“Fucking finally.” I tuck my weapon back in my purse as Widow shakes his head in blatant disgust.

“Wealth is a disease. Look at them. Just goddamn look at them.” He spits on the ground, and Alexei’s green eyes widen before he drops his weapon entirely and then stares at his dirty palms. Heedless of the other boys’ stares, he strips his clothes off, flinging them and his gloves away before storming over to the shower with that perfect ass of his on full display.

We all watch as he climbs into the icy water and begins to scrub.

I sigh.

So much for that. Next time, I really am going to shove those dirty panties into his filthy mouth.

“Men are so goddamn emotional.” I shake my head and sigh, planting my hands on my hips. “I mean, what day of the week is it? If it ends in the letter ‘y’ then a man is probably wrong about something.”

“I didn’t need to see that,” Ash breathes out, clearly still processing the trauma. His razored black hair falls prettily over his forehead, helping to make up for some of his crazy. Okay, fine, I lied: I like his crazy. “I didn’t want to see that.”

“Well, get used to it,” Widow snaps at him, ruffling up his own jewel-toned hair. “You heard the woman: if you can’t deal, get fucked.”

“She’s mine,” Ash snaps right back at him, hand tightening around the Ruger. His eyes blaze. “I’m not going anywhere.”

“Then put the weapon away and get a disguise on.” I point at the table full of clothes. “You and Marie can both be scene kids today. I don’t want to hear a word out of either of your mouths unless it has to do with underground rock concerts, Myspace, or Y2K trends. Get dressed. You’re both riding in the car with Bohnes.”
