She encouraged me as I held her close and I paused, bringing my lips to her ear.
“You’re so going to regret inviting me to live with you; you’re not going to get a break from me.” I nipped her ear, and she moaned unashamedly. “I’m very touchy-feely, Grace. Affectionate, too.”
“Could’ve fooled me,” was the witty, snarky response she came at me with, and I smirked.
This time, I kept the same depth and power in my movements, but I went faster, rubbing my thumb against one of my horns to collect that strange dew, and then dropping it to Graceley’s clit. Rather than shove at it like some men do (seriously, what the fuck is wrong with other guys? if you can’t find the clit or don’t understand it, you’re too stupid to live), I searched for Grace’s magic spot. Most women have some special area on their clit that makes ‘em crazy.
My new lover’s was, apparently, on the lower right portion of her hardened bud. When I rubbed in that spot, her inner muscles locked down on me accordingly. It felt so damn good that I almost didn’t do it again, unsure if I would even be able to keep thrusting since she was so damn tight.
But then Grace put her hand down and took mine, encouraging me to keep going.
Our eyes met again and, in the moonlight, with my wings wrapped around us both, I felt her tense up, and then go limp, the magic unfurling in me at the same time. Still looking into Grace’s eyes, I came with another deep grunt, gathering her against me so that when I filled her up, we were chest to chest.
We sagged back against the table together, and my wings dropped, hitting the deck behind me hard enough to bruise, but it was a miracle that I was standing at all. Instead, I was focused on panting and sweating and staring.
At Grace, into Grace.
“Ready to commit to …” Grace panted out, and I smiled, reaching up to brush some hair back from her sweaty forehead. This entire scenario was so unlike me, but where had I been going in life thus far? Toward a destination set by everyone else but me.
So … freaked out as I was, nervous as I was, as sure that at some point (or maybe even many points) I would regret this, I knew that this what I needed to do.
“I’m ready to commit … to you.” I kissed Graceley’s perfect mouth as if I’d just crossed some sort of finish line.
But my words, and this moment, they were only the beginning of what was to come.
In no way was this idiot half-demon prepared for any of it.
That much I knew for sure.
Afterward, I wasn’t quite sure what to do with Hex. I was standing in the kitchen, chewing on my thumbnail—the broken one with the missing charm (it got used during the krampus fight)—and trying to figure out how, exactly, to proceed from here.
We’d all collapsed earlier for a nap, but Hex had fallen asleep first, sitting up in a chair in the living room. Now that it was getting late and we were all still wiped from the spell, I needed a spot to put him.
I paced a small circle on the hardwood floors and looked up just in time to see Hex slipping in the back door. He smiled at me and paused, slipping his hands into the pockets of Spectre’s pants.
“Tea?” I queried, because I was a witch and we had brought our tea traditions over from another world. That’s how dedicated we were to the damn stuff. Hex nodded slightly, taking a seat on one of the stools.
I’d dreamed of this moment.
I can’t lie about that.
Ever since I was sixteen years old and visited the Oracle at Delphi, I’d been dreaming about this. My heart—and my house—felt full to bursting. Even with all of the worries gnawing at the back of my mind, I was briefly content.
Until I remembered Monster.
He was still here, in one of the upstairs guest rooms. Not only did I have a lot to talk through with Hex, I had as much or more to talk through with Monster. The dream sex stuff for one was pretty damn important; I’m sure my husbands were frothing at the mouth to discuss that with him.
Or kill him over it, as the case may be.
I started the kettle and then moved over to stand beside Hex. My body was aching with the memory of his, and I found myself squeezing my thighs together. I’d taken a quick shower after, but I was soaked straight through again with my own arousal. Hex’s gaze found my nipples and he exhaled, forcing his attention back to my face.
When Caine first joined me and Argent in our relationship, he basically bulldozed his way into our bed. He was a wolf; he needed a pack. When Spec showed up, we still didn’t live here. We all lived in the apartment above the shop. I remember him sleeping on the couch for about a week before he made his way into the bedroom.
