“I would, but I fear you are telling me that it brought you to climax.”
“Oh god, don’t put it like that. Oh Christ, why is that making it worse.”
“If it is worse then allow me to ease this torment for you.”
“This is supposed to be about your needs,” I say, near pleading with him now.
My hands are together in front of me. I’m close to wringing them.
Yet all he does in response is step forward again.
“And they will be satisfied, too, once I have your taste on my tongue,” he says, now so close to me that he doesn’t have to go above a whisper. I think he might even be leaning down, in a way that really gives me no place to go.
The backs of my legs hit the bed.
It’s not a surprise that I panic, and just kind of step up onto it. “Okay, wow, no, I can’t have you bite me. I can’t have you do that,” I say, as I climb in a big fumbling rush, hands held out to signal he needs to stop right there.
And he does stop.
He doesn’t follow me up there.
He just looks up at my face, his gaze even more smoldering than before. As if he doesn’t even need to loom over me to have all the seductive power in whatever game this is. And when he speaks, oh Lord.
“Then I shall seek my feast another way.”
“So like before, where I bleed for you.”
“Blood is not the only thing that can sustain me.”
What, I think.
Just as his gaze travels down, down, down.
“Oh my god, you can’t be serious.” I gasp. Even though it’s clear he is.
He’s staring so intently at the place between my legs that I want to die.
“It would bring you an even greater amount of pleasure, I promise you.”
“Okay, I am sure it would, but if you could just stop doing everything that you are doing for a second so I can really think about all of this? Because, you know, I believe there are, like, ethical considerations here,” I try.
What can I say, it’s the best stalling I can do.
“You believe it is wrong for me to sate myself between your legs.”
“More like you would not be doing what Halsten ever would with that body.”
“So then you still believe this body is not really mine?”
“Well, of course it is, but—” I say.
Though I know I’ve lost before he even cuts me off.
“But what? Am I not a whole and real person because I have lost memories? Even if I do not wish for those memories back? Even if you have seen that I am under no spell, that I make choices of my own free will?”
“No, you are, you are real, but then so was he. Kind of. I guess. I don’t know.”
“You should if you are letting this idea stand in the way of my decision.”
