“Because I felt his cock pulse in my hand. You almost made him come.”

“Don’t tell her that,” Zeke whined, a whimper escaping him as Cyn did something else that pushed him toward the edge.

“Why not? She wants to know. Besides, don’t you want to hear her come when you do? She needs to know how good I make you feel.”

It almost didn’t feel like Cyn.

He’d always been bold enough to voice every filthy thought that crossed his mind, but hearing him talk that way around Zeke when he normally kept himself in check made me realize he wasn’t letting anything stop him anymore.

Cyn was bossy, but he’d never taken charge with me without a fight. I craved the push and pull we shared, but he understood something I was only just learning. Zeke didn’t need a challenge. He needed care and direction.

My entire body trembled with want.

I’d never wanted to be back home so badly in my life.

“Here’s what’s going to happen,” Cyn said in a tone that left no room for argument. “You’re going to do exactly what you thought of doing when you wanted to join him.”

Had I heard him right? He wanted me to masturbate in the middle of the palace where anyone could walk by the door and hear?

“You listening?”

“I heard you,” I whispered, looking down at my glistening fingers.

“I want you to finish yourself off, then take care of what you have to do.” A low, dark chuckle rumbled from him as Zeke’s desperate moan came through the speaker. “I’ll take care of him.”

NOT PRETENDING

ZEKE

Never in a million years did I imagine I’d find myself naked in the center of Cyn’s unmade bed, with him kneeling between my legs, eyeing me like I was something to eat—like I was someone he desired.

When I’d come home from meeting with the guards to sort out the next month’s schedule for wall duties, Cyn had called me into his room. Nothing out of the ordinary. We’d always spent time in each other’s rooms. Slept together more often than not.

But I hadn’t expected him to whirl me around the moment I crossed the threshold and press me against the door, shoving his tongue into my mouth.

Of course, I’d let him. I’d be an idiot not to.

What I’d assumed was a lapse in judgment in Feranzis ended up being something bigger. I’d allowed doubt to creep in and convince me that the cursed forest’s dark magic had affected both him and Rae. That the only reason we’d ended up in a position I’d only dreamed about was the forest’s doing and not their own desires.

He’d barely stopped kissing me to speak, overwhelming me with his proximity, the taste of his mouth, and the scent of his body fresh from the shower. Only when I’d whined and squirmed from the overstimulation did he pull away enough to let me breathe, resting his forehead against mine.

I’d never forget what he whispered against my lips between panting breaths for as long as I lived: “I can’t do this. I can’t pretend anymore. I won’t pretend you’re not mine anymore.”

He’d led me to his bed and guided me to sit, touching me with such gentleness that I’d almost cried. Once he’d removed my shirt, he eased me to the middle of the bed before asking if he could go farther.

The fact that he’d taken the time to ask meant more than I believed he realized.

I’d never let him see me naked—except for how much he’d seen in Feranzis. I’d allowed no one to see me that way.

It wasn’t the only thing he’d asked, either.

As soon as he’d stripped me down and realized I was hard and already leaking, he’d traced his fingertips down my length and asked if he could taste me.

I honestly thought I’d blacked out at that point—or maybe I had when his tongue swept over my cockhead before he went for it like he knew what he was doing.

But I knew better.
