Nickel glared at me. “You’re gonna snatch her dream away from her.”

“I got enough money to fund any dream she wants. Will it have the name On a Lark? Probably not. But as smart as she is, and as much as I love her, it’ll have a new name and be that much more successful.” I glared at Lark. “And you’ll be seein’ her in court.”

“It’s my fuckin’ name,” Lark said.

My brows arched. “She’s the one who trademarked it last year, and she’s handled all the cease and desist letters that were beneath you. Said it yourself in our last session of church.”

“Can we get back to the fact that Gamble’s daughter is off-limits?” Nickel asked, then looked to Volt. “He deserves a beat down for being with her and hiding it, too.”

I stood and shrugged off my cut. “Bring it to a vote.” I put my leather on the table. “You want my patch, have it.”

“Is it really that simple?” Har asked.

“Some people missed what I said. Live and let live. Who I take as my old lady isn’t your damn business. She’s suddenly deemed off-limits because her brother has a chip on his shoulder - you’re all a bunch of hypocrites if that’s the case. And the last twenty years don’t mean shit if you don’t want us to be happy. ”

“I’m her father,” Gamble said in a lethal tone.

I dipped my chin at him. “Right. Even though she’s a grown woman, you might be the only exception. That’s between you, me, and her.”

Punc cleared his throat. “I was involved with Savannah when we both worked at Platinum’s, and I didn’t take this much flak.”

Cal shook his head at me in response. “The issue here is Tundra’s age.”

I couldn’t stop myself from asking, “Why?”

“Being twice her age is…” Cal trailed off.

“What?” I asked.

“It’s not normally done,” Volt said.

“Being a biker isn’t normally done, either. Nothing about our way of life conforms to the status quo,” I said.

“Not the same thing,” Blood said. “Are you rebounding? You brought that chick around at the Fourth of July, but she wouldn’t use your road name. That’s one thing, but her cold, snobby vibes couldn’t be missed.”

“Not a rebound,” I said.

Cal stared at me. “If it were my daughter, I’d beat you senseless. Are you willing to take that for her?”

I yanked my shirt over my head. “Yeah, and you can strip my tat because I’m done. With those words this isn’t the brotherhood I patched into.”

“Dios mio,” Roman whispered behind me.

“Let’s take this down a notch,” Patch suggested.

“Not a chance. Taking his patch is up to the Jacksonville chapter but I want the second punch if we’re doling out a beating,” Block said.

“Like you got room to talk. Heidi’s much younger than you,” I said.

“Only by fifteen years, I’m barely old enough to be her father,” Block said.

“Did you hear what you said, Block?” Roman asked. “You’d take a beating for your woman just the same as he would…and you think he’s wrong for claiming her in front of all of us?”

Block glowered at Roman. “I didn’t watch Heidi grow up.”

I glared at Block. “I saw her twice, maybe three times a year, tops. She and I started growing close over the past nine months.”

“Making Mick a home wrecker,” Nickel muttered.
