“Long before you knew her. You made her into your pet project, but Yara’s supposed to be wild and unstoppable. She deserves to be who she is. You tried to change her, and that’s a sin. Gods don’t need to fit themselves into human molds. Yara’s my God, and you tried to make her into a human?”

Katelyn blinked.

“No. I accepted her for what she is. If you wanted to be Yara’s friend, you could have just asked.” She looked at me then, eyes filled with pity. “This—this, if you do this, Yara will never forgive you.”

“Friends?” I scoffed. “I want everything, Katelyn. I want Yara’s soul, mind, heart, and body. I want every inch of her life until I become her life, her god, her prayers. She is already mine. How’s it fair that I am not hers? How is it that she looks at me and never once sees me?”

Katelyn grimaced.

“You love her?”

“I love her, and you can’t have her.”

She laughed, as if she had just heard the biggest joke ever.

“Are you laughing at me?”

Her laughter made me want to tear her tongue out. She sounded like Flora, Alice, Tillie, and Erika. Bitches.

The FATE sisters. I hated them with everything in me.

There was a saying at the orphanage.

'Whoever crossed FATE would have no mercy.

I had never said a word against them, never raised a hand. I should have, but I didn’t, and they burned me, they mocked me, they belittled my feelings, and the nuns looked away. It was uncomfortable for them to acknowledge my sexuality and to accept that those girls were bullies.

I walked around with black eyes, and the sisters pretended not to see it, superior in their holiness.

They were ready for me to get the fuck out of that orphanage.

When I killed the four of them, I took my sweet, sweet time. They didn’t get to die so easily. No. They had to cry and weep and beg.

I used every method they used to hurt, but I did not leave any visible evidence.

Flora broke as easily as a glass vase.

Alice was tough, but when I strangled her, she cried.

Erika was a bitch even then. She asked me if I was still eating Yara’s pussy before she died.

Tillie didn’t cry, didn’t beg. She accepted it, like she was ready to go.

“No. I’m laughing at the absurdity of your logic.”

I grabbed the garrote.

Katelyn’s eyes widened.

“Stop, please, Trish. That’s enough.”

She didn’t look scared before. But now, the fear in her eyes, oh the sweet sweet fear. I needed it. I needed it to come alive.

“Don’t you want to see how your sister died? The good part isn’t here yet.”

“No, no.” Irene sobbed, struggling against the rope. “Don’t. Please.” Tears streamed down her cheeks as she turned away.

”Oh, here it is,” I said, when Katelyn whimpered from the screen.
