Why today of all days?!
Why is today the day he wants to randomly show up and audit my performance along with class reception, attendance, and worth?
The copper bearded man slides his porcelain skinned hands into his gray suit pockets, steps inside, and tips his head in acknowledgement.
Hogan doesn’t bother even looking at the person I’m referencing.
He just grunts and turns and exits head down.
Great.
That’s totally going to leave a shitty taste in the Dean’s mouth.
Probably not as bad as the one it’s left in mine, but still.
That shit doesn’t make me look good.
I mean…how would he feel if I did something like that in front of his biker boss?
Stomped my feet and pouted on their front lawn or back porch or parking lot?
Wherever they hideout!
Hangout?
Hm.
I really don’t know much about club culture.
Guess with Hogan back in the “student only” section of my mental library, I have no real need to change that.
Although, I guess…I could…find a romance novel to read about it or even a well done autobiography?
I’m sure they’re out there.
Once I’m fairly certain, my disgruntled student is far from earshot, I politely acknowledge the man that provided an easy segue to his exit. “Dean Berkley.”
He doesn’t bother smiling.
Or returning a greeting.
Which can only mean the worst of things.
Maintaining my calmness grows difficult during my crossing over. “What can I do for you this evening?”
A single step forward is taken prior to him grimly declaring, “We need to talk.”
Chapter 14
Emaline
This is officially the equivalence of getting called into the principal’s office.
Something I never was, for the record.
Perhaps that’s a given.
You know.
