“Not yet.” Cole took Ford’s wrist, moved it off him, and pinned it up by Ford’s head.

Then he went down.

His mouth on Ford’s chest. His teeth, once, over the ribs. His tongue in the line of hair below Ford’s navel, unhurried, while Ford’s hands went into his hair and stayed there, not pushing, just holding on.

Then Cole’s mouth closed over him, and Ford heard the sound he made come off his own ceiling.

Every other time he’d done this with his eyes shut and a hand over his own mouth, half of him still listening past it for a door. Tonight, he stayed up on an elbow and watched. Watched Cole take him down. Watched Cole’s throat work. Watched a man who barely said ten words at dinner do that to him.

Cole took his time. He used his hand where his mouth wasn’t. He made a low sound in his throat every time Ford’s hips moved, and he was so plainly enjoying himself that Ford had to breathe carefully.

Then Cole looked up at him with his mouth full, and Ford’s hips came off the mattress without his permission.

“Cole.” Ford got a fistful of the sheet. “You’ve got to stop.”

Cole came off him slowly, letting it drag, and wiped his mouth on the back of his wrist without breaking eye contact.

“Not yet,” he said.

He reached past Ford for the drawer. Then he stopped with his arm still across Ford’s chest, and Ford watched him work up to it.

“I want to be inside you,” Cole said.

Ford held still a second. When he got his voice back, it had gone to gravel.

“Yeah. Come on.”

Cole came back up the bed. He worked a pillow under Ford’s back and pushed his knee out wider, and Ford’s other leg slid right off the edge of the mattress. They both laughed, once, low.

“Hang on.” Cole hauled him back to the middle.

Then neither of them was laughing.

He slicked his fingers and worked one into Ford slowly, watching his face the whole time. Ford’s head went back into the pillow.

“Okay?”

“Don’t stop.”

Cole gave him a second one. Ford’s whole body opened around it, and the sound he made was one he hadn’t made in front of another person in years.

Cole went still.

Ford opened his eyes.

“Nobody’s here,” Cole said. “Make as much noise as you want.”

Ford got a hand around the back of Cole’s neck and pulled him down. “Then get on with it. Want to feel your dick.”

That was a request Cole could easily grant. Ford watched him through hooded lids as he rolled a condom down his length. They never broke eye contact as Cole settled himself between Ford’s thighs, pushing them back before pressing the head of his cock past Ford’s entrance. He went slow, watching, stopping when Ford’s breath caught, and when he was all the way in, he stayed there with his forehead against Ford’s, and neither of them moved.

“You good?”

“I’m a lot better than good.” Ford got his heels into the backs of Cole’s thighs. “Move.”

Cole moved.

He kept it slow at first, watching Ford’s face for every inch of it. Then Ford dug his heels in and pulled, and whatever Cole had been holding on to went. He set a rhythm deep enough that Ford felt it in his teeth. The headboard found the wall. Neither of them cared.
