“Do you mind? You’re blocking my view.”
The coldness in Natalia’s voice showed that any hope he’d had of ever getting into her bed had been cremated.
Straightening, he started to look for Doom, hoping his brother could devise a miraculous way to save his ass. Before he could turn, he spotted him heading toward the pool table, where Lucia had climbed onto the felt and was lifting her dress to her thighs.
Inspiration struck.
Lowering his mouth to Natalia’s ear, Wizard whispered, “You might want to ignore this show for the one Lucia is about to put on.”
Natalia spun around. A second later, she was rushing across the room.
Chai’s escalating moans had Wizard’s dick hardening. Thankfully, Natalia’s attention had shifted before she noticed his reaction.
Lifting his eyes toward the ceiling, Wizard offered a wry thanks. “Better late than never.”
CHAPTER 23
DILEMMA
Plunging into the massive crowd, Natalia squeezed through the limited space toward Lucia, who was dancing on the pool table.
“Lucia … don’t,” she begged.
The beautiful woman glared down at her. “Go away! Jesus, get me the horn!”
When a handsome man moved away, Natalia surmised he was Jesus. How in the world had these men gotten their nicknames? The man who had brushed past her was as far from her image of the Holy Spirit as possible. There was nothing sweet or gentle about him.
Oh, man, was he gorgeous … If she’d been younger and less experienced, she probably would have jumped onto that pool table to get his attention, too. He would have given Clint Eastwood a run for his money in his heyday.
Jesus possessed a sexual allure that tempted women to ignore the slightly dangerous way he walked, along with a rough-around-the-edges appeal that enticed them to take a walk on the wild side.
If she were as hell-bent on having him as Lucia was, there was no way she would get off that pool table, either. How was Natalia supposed to sway Lucia from The Last Riders’ dark side when Jesus walked around like human catnip? Marco, on the other hand, came across as baby Elmo.
Frantically trying to devise a plan, Natalia felt a pressure she had never experienced before—the responsibility of preventing another woman from making a terrible mistake. She darted a look toward Jesus and saw him returning with the horn.
If she didn’t come up with a plan in the next minute, Lucia would be in the same carnal position Chai was displaying on the bar.
Lucia’s skirt had ridden nearly to the tops of her thighs, and from where Natalia stood, she had an unobstructed view. Unlike Chai, Lucia hadn’t bothered to wear a thong, leaving absolutely nothing to the imagination.
Acting without thought, Natalia snatched the horn from Jesus’ hand before he could react. Dodging his grasp when he tried to jerk it back, she recklessly climbed onto a booth then clambered onto its shaky table while trying not to break her neck.
Proud that she hadn’t, or at the least, fallen face-first to the floor like a splattered bug, Natalia took a deep breath and tried to balance on the unstable table.
Once she found a somewhat secure position, she lifted her gaze to the crowd, who had turned their attention from Chai’s and Lucia’s erotic display to her.
Lucia hadn’t stopped her sensual dance despite the death glare she was giving Natalia for stealing everyone’s attention.
“Blow it!” a man shouted from the front of the club.
“I have something she can blow!” another shouted out suggestively.
Neither man wore a Last Riders jacket. Natalia didn’t know whether that meant they weren’t Last Riders or had simply chosen not to wear theirs. That wasn’t the only difference between them and the men wearing jackets. The unjacketed men’s faces were filled with mirth and desire, while The Last Riders looked afraid.
Her gaze came to an abrupt stop when Wizard shoved his way through the crowd to stand before her. Fear curled in the pit of her stomach.
“Get the fuck down.”
“Make Lucia get down, and I will.” She wanted to climb down as desperately as he wanted her to, but if she did, Lucia would choose Jesus and put on a show for The Last Riders, just as Chai was.
