“No, I’m good. I only had one bottle. I drank an iced coffee on the way here.”

“I was there when you poured rum into it.”

“The caffeine cancels out the rum.”

“Whatever you want to discuss with Wizard can wait until tomorrow,” Arden urged.

When she abruptly stopped speaking, Natalia followed her gaze. A stunning woman emerged from a doorway beside the bar—the same one Doom had disappeared through earlier.

When Arden and Natalia had arrived at the clubhouse, Natalia had asked to speak to Wizard. Doom had told her that Wizard was with someone but promised to let him know she was waiting.

The gorgeous woman, who appeared visibly upset, must have been the person meeting with him. Without speaking to anyone, she headed straight for the exit.

Natalia gave a low whistle. “Who’s she? Another one of Wizard’s playmates?”

“I have no clue. I’ve never seen her before.”

A male voice spoke beside Natalia. “Lucky you.”

She turned toward the man. “You don’t like her?” she couldn’t resist asking.

“Like isn’t a strong enough word to describe how everyone here feels about Burn’s ex-wife.”

Natalia didn’t know who Burn was or what he looked like, but she assumed he was a Last Rider. Of course they would side with him, so she reserved judgment on the woman.

“Natalia, Wizard is free now,” Doom called from the doorway.

Climbing off the stool sent the room tilting. Natalia grabbed the first thing within reach to keep herself from falling—the man who had expressed his hatred for the woman who had just left.

“Sorry. Excuse me …” She paused, realizing she didn’t know his name, while struggling to steady herself on her spike heels.

“Buck,” he supplied helpfully.

“Excuse me, Buck.”

Following Doom, Natalia focused on not falling flat on her face.

Did The Last Riders realize their floor was uneven? The flooring was a definite safety hazard.

Doom motioned her into a room, where Wizard sat behind a desk pushed against the wall. Another chair had been placed beside his.

Wizard rose and gave her a charming smile she didn’t trust for a second. “Natalia, what a pleasure to see you this evening.”

She stopped midway across the room as Doom closed the door, leaving them alone. She felt as if she had wandered into a wolf’s territory, and he was ready to pounce.

“Have a seat,” Wizard offered.

His politeness did nothing to lessen her unease.

Natalia took the chair beside his before her unsteady legs gave out. Then she immediately regretted it when he sat back down. The chairs were close enough that the proximity sent warmth flooding through her sex-starved body.

Apparently, her libido didn’t possess enough sense to be afraid.

Concentrating on restraining her wayward sex drive, it took her a moment to remember why she had come. Focusing wasn’t easy when her mind insisted on replaying the image of Wizard naked after she’d barged into the club.

As much as Natalia hated to admit it, even to herself, his body was a work of art. His chest might not have been broad, but it was long and sculpted, its sharply defined contours proving he didn’t spend most of his time sitting around.

His legs had nearly destroyed her composure. She had wanted to drop to her knees and run her hands over the corded muscles of his sleek thighs. By the time she’d managed to tear her eyes away, the image of his naked body had been burned into her brain.
