“Why? Because we have a good time when we’re not working our asses off to make a living?”

Wizard stepped closer, but Natalia refused to retreat.

“Yeah, we party hard. But if no one was in control—someone they knew could keep a good time from turning ugly—it would be a free-for-all every night. No, we don’t live normal lives. We don’t go home and sit on our asses watching television all night or stare at videos on our phones until bed, only to wake up the next morning and go to some boring-ass job that’s never going to get any better.

“When people walk through our door, we accept them despite their failings. We don’t give a fuck how much money they have in their bank accounts or whether they live in a shithole or a nice house. They’re all equal here. They know they’d die for each other if someone threatened them. Most important of all, they know they can count on me whenever they need help.”

“They may all be equal, but they’re still ruled by your demands. Your wishes take precedence over everything else.”

“Yes, they do.” He nodded. “I’ve earned that right. I’ve busted my ass for The Last Riders. If one of the perks of being president is that they have to follow my rules, it’s no skin off your tight ass.”

“You’re right; I’m not a Last Rider, so I don’t have to waste my time standing here talking to you, either.” Turning her back on him, Natalia walked toward her van.

“You fucked up tonight, Natalia,” Wizard called after her.

She didn’t bother turning around.

“Before tonight, I only wanted to fuck you.” In his eyes it looked like it took everything Wizard had not to drag her back inside, his dark voice making a promise, “Now you’re going to belong to me. Catch up on your sleep, because when we’re together, I’m going to fuck you all night long, every night.”

Reaching the front of her van, she spun around. “Stupido idiota.” She brought her fingertips to her chin then flicked them toward him. Then, to make sure the cretin understood the message, she repeated it in American sign language, bending one arm and striking it with her other hand.

Satisfied, she climbed into the van. Instead of running his ass down, she slowly pulled out of the parking lot, giving him another offensive gesture she wasn’t sure he could see.

She’d never hated anyone as much as she hated Wizard. The man was delusional. She wouldn’t let him touch her if she were high as a kite or hadn’t had sex in eighteen months—which, unfortunately, was true. That alone showed how much she despised him.

Rolling down the window, she let the cool air rush inside to calm her temper.

Wizard was one big red flag, from his attitude toward women and sex to the lifestyle he led. No sane woman should get within fifty feet of him. Yet, somehow, he had managed to convince Arden to continue working at the club even after she had married Doom.

Natalia had also seen Chai sitting in one of the booths while she was talking to Raff. The stunning woman was notorious for turning down men at the coffee shop where she worked. Natalia had not only been shocked to see Chai there, but she’d also caught the hurt that flashed across her face when Wizard had created a scene over Raff.

Living only a couple of blocks from the coffee shop, Natalia had become friendly with her. Never in a million years would she have thought Chai would give Wizard the time of day.

“Girl, be honest,” she told herself aloud.

She didn’t have to ask Chai why she had probably given Wizard more than the time of day. He radiated the kind of sexual confidence that promised he knew exactly how to satisfy a woman—in bed or anywhere else, for that matter.

Natalia clenched at the thought of what Wizard might do to a woman in bed.

“Stop it!” she yelled at herself.

There was no way she would give in to her baser needs, no matter how long her unintended abstinence continued. She would check herself into a mental health clinic before willingly touching a single hair on his body.

Shaking her head to dispel the erotic images playing through her mind, she felt the heat of her anger, and the desire Wizard had aroused, finally begin to ebb.

All she needed was some sexual relief, and Wizard’s allure would become dust in the wind. She just had to find a man. That should be easy. There were thousands of them out there, right on her phone, waiting to be chosen.

All she had to do was find the right one.

CHAPTER 10

DUCHESS OF YORK

He was getting fucking sick and tired of watching Natalia blithely walk away after disrespecting him.

“Is it safe to come out?”

Wizard turned to see Doom poking his head through the doorway.
