Wizard had squashed that idea. Their previous computer specialist had been an expert fighter, and he’d still gotten his ass killed. After that reminder, Doom had said maybe he could teach the prospect to defend himself.
Staring at him now, Wizard knew it was a lost cause. The fucker wouldn’t be able to fight his way out of a wet sleeping bag.
“It’s Friday night. We let anyone hang out.”
“I’ll have to remember that.”
When she started to move away, he hastily reached out and caught her arm. “If you’re looking for a good time, I’m more than ready to give it to you.”
Natalia turned back and stared pointedly at his hand on her arm. “No offense”—her gaze flicked to his crotch—“but I’ve seen what you have to offer.”
Her cold voice had everyone sitting nearby stop eating to watch and listen.
Her eyes met his insultingly. “What I want, you don’t have.” Jerking her arm free, Natalia then walked away without a backward glance.
Wizard glared at The Last Riders who were stupid enough to stare at him until they dropped their gazes. Then the booth shook as someone slid into the seat across from him.
“Damn, that was cold.”
Wizard watched Natalia sidle up to the prospect. “I walked right into that motherfucking trap,” he admitted.
“You did,” Doom agreed.
Wizard tore his gaze away from Natalia long enough to shoot Doom a murderous look, but Doom stared back, unfazed. The brother was the only other person Wizard knew who was as unafraid of dying as he was. They were both fearless in situations that would make other people think twice.
“What the fuck is his name?”
“Raff,” Doom answered patiently.
Wizard glowered at the prospect as Natalia pressed herself against Raff’s side to let several brothers pass on their way to the counter for seconds.
“I’m going to rip his arms out of their sockets when she leaves,” he promised.
“He’s really good with computers, Wizard.”
“I don’t give a fuck if he’s the best in the fucking world. He’s going to have to use his nose on the keyboard when I’m fucking done with him.” Wizard continued glaring at Raff. “I don’t see what she sees in him. I’m better-looking.”
“I don’t think she’s looking at his face,” Doom said dryly.
Wizard turned his gaze on him. “Have you made that baby you’ve been working so hard for?”
Doom was anything but stupid. “Sorry, brother. I’m just as shocked as you are. If I were a woman, I’d pick you over Raff. I wouldn’t give him the time of day.”
Wizard didn’t care that Doom was just saying it to pacify him. He gave the brother the benefit of the doubt and pretended he was sincere, mainly because Wizard didn’t know if he could take Doom in a fight and win without suffering a spinal injury.
He swung his gaze back to Natalia and Raff. Her arm had gone around Raff’s waist, and she was ushering him toward the door. Seeing they were leaving together, Wizard started sliding out of the booth.
“I’m not waiting. I’m going to kill the motherfucker right in front of her.”
“Wizard … chill. Don’t—”
Disregarding Doom’s attempt to stop him, Wizard stalked across the room to intercept them at the door.
“Leaving so soon?” he asked silkily.
“Yes.” Natalia’s free hand went to Raff’s barely-there chest. “Raff has kindly offered to come to my house and install some new alarms I bought.”
The caressing way Natalia rubbed Raff’s chest nearly sent Wizard into orbit. Was she fucking serious?
