Pasha didn’t move or try to stop me. He didn’t even raise his hands. He simply stood there and took it as I fell apart in front of him.

“How could you?” I sobbed again. “I swear I hate you and wish…wish—”

“Dostatochno!” Enough!

The roar shook the room. All four of us froze. Kinsley stood in the center of the bedroom, hands planted on her hips, looking entirely too much like Alek for my liking. Wrinkled forehead and all.

Before I could retreat, Pasha gathered my hands into his. The fight drained out of me. A sob tore free as I sagged against him. His arms wrapped around me.

“Princess,” he breathed. “I need you to calm down now. I haven’t slept with Allison. Ever.”

His hand rose toward my face. I jerked away.

“Don’t lie to me,” I cried.

Kinsley stormed forward before he could answer.

“Oh no. Nope. Absolutely not.”

She wedged herself between us and immediately tried pulling me away from him.

“What have you done?” she demanded, shooting daggers at Pasha. “That is not what Sebastian said.”

Tori sauntered over behind her. Unlike Kinsley, she looked less ready to commit murder and more ready to conduct an interrogation.

“I suggest you spill the beans, young man,” she said.

“Mouse, knock it off.”

Kinsley ignored him. “Not until you explain yourself.”

“Mouse,” he warned.

“No.”

“For fuck’s sake. I’ve been lying to Bash. Okay?”

Kinsley paused. “Excuse me? We don’t lie in this family.”

“Yeah, we do. So go ahead and shoot me or stab me whatever is raging around in that crazy head of yours. I have been lying to him. To you.” Pasha paused. “Fuck, to everybody. I’m a liar. Happy?”

He shifted my body away from her, and his hand resumed its slow path up and down my back.

“And it’s not entirely on me. This one right here is the queen. She has been doing her fair share.”

I groaned. Traitor.

“No, we aren’t stupid. We’re not falling for your lies,” Kinsley argued. “Sebastian specifically said—”

“Mischa Natalya Dmitrieva.”

Her full birth name, heavily accented in Russian, rolled off his tongue like a warning. The room went silent. Kinsley’s hands dropped. Her eyes widened, and the color drained from her face. I flinched for her. She took a small step backward.

“Sorry,” he muttered.

He dragged a hand down his face, exhaling through his nose. He looked between both women before reaching for me again. I fell into him and let out another sob.

He caressed my face, forcing me to look into his eyes. “I have never slept with Allison. And I haven’t slept with anyone since before we left on our trip. Weeks before.”
