My angel beside him suppresses a smile, but her beautiful eyes flash. I’m starting to sweat. My muscles are tense. Jesus Christ, I’m already addicted.

“Excuse me?” he asks. This guy has clearly lived a very privileged life. Never been disciplined before.

“I have a no cell phone policy. And if you can’t put yours away and pay attention for the first few minutes of my class, then you can go.” He looks back at me, waiting for me to say that I’m kidding, but after a few seconds he realizes I’m serious and starts packing his stuff.

“Geez,” I hear him mutter as he stands and makes his way to the door.

Yeah, I’m losing it. I do have a no cell phones policy in my class, but I generally warn people before kicking them out. It’s this girl, whoever she is, who has me all twisted up inside. I don’t even know her name, yet I’m feeling more protective of her right now than anything else in my life.

The thought of that frat boy inviting her to a party, getting her drunk and putting his sleazy fucking hands on her has me raging inside. That’s never going to happen. She deserves better than him. She’s an angel. Her innocence radiates off her like the summer sun. That heavenly body deserves a man who knows what he’s doing and cares, not just some boozed-up bro who wants her for one night and one night only.

She deserves a man like me.

The whispers of the rest of the class are barely audible as I watch the door close behind Matt on his way out. My cock aches beneath my pants and my balls boil with so much cum as I imagine stripping her naked and worshiping her body. All I want is to see her gorgeous face twisted in ecstasy as I service her. To hear her sweet moans in my ear as she orgasms. I don’t care if it loses me my job or my entire career—I will have her.

Christ, I don’t even know her name.

MAISY

“You’re twenty-one now, girl! We have to celebrate!” My best friend, Sasha, winks at me from the driver’s seat as we hop in her car. “And after the cage you’ve spent your life in, you need to live a little. Can we agree on that?”

I sigh, but I have to laugh. She’s right. In the world of overprotective mothers, I’m pretty sure mine was the most overprotective, most intense, most tyrannical—most everything.

Ever since my dad left when I was ten, my mom’s outlook on men changed dramatically. She started telling me how they were all awful, all they cared about was ‘getting some and getting out,’ and that I had to be ‘absolutely sure’ that a guy liked me before doing anything physical with him.

As a result, I graduated high school without ever going on a single date. And even now, at twenty-one, I haven’t had a single kiss. Why? Because Mom put a tracker on my phone and monitored everywhere I went. She told me if I tried to remove it, she’d kick me out of the house. And seeing as how I was working seven days a week to save up for college, I couldn’t afford that.

So I went along with it. And now, honestly, there’s a chance I’m the most sheltered twenty-one-year-old in the world.

“Yeah, we can agree on that.” I nod. Sasha grins and hits the gas. The old Toyota’s suspension creaks as we pull away from the apartment we share together.

Sasha is three years older than me and working on her master’s degree in English literature. We met when she came into the bookstore I worked at for a few months. Sometimes her extroverted nature drives me a little nuts, but I know that without her, I’d end up sitting by myself in my room, being too anxious to do anything fun.

“Hey, what’s with you?” she asks, glancing over. “You seem distracted or something.”

Part of me wants to hide the truth from her, but it’s been five hours since class, and I feel like a bottle about to burst from all the pressure building up inside.

“Okay…” I say slowly. “Hypothetically, is it wrong to be attracted to your professor?”

Sasha slams on the brakes, causing me to lurch forward in my seat. Thank God I was wearing my seatbelt.

“Holy shit.” She smirks. “Maisy Turner is hot for teacher!”

I’m blushing like crazy and look down, letting my hair obscure my face. Even now, huddled in my embarrassment, I can see his eyes…those stoic, alpha eyes staring at me from the head of the class.

But was he staring at me? Or was he just looking at that guy next to me? Matt? Maybe I’m just imagining it all. A man as tall and handsome as him must have women throwing themselves at his feet. If he’s not already married, I’d bet he has a harem of hot girlfriends coming to see him every night of the week.

I know I would…

I’d do anything he wanted me to do.

“Who is he?” Sasha presses, pulling forward as a car behind us honks.

“My anatomy professor,” I say quietly, the heat burning in my cheeks. It’s like tiny little pinpricks all over my body as I picture him there, standing tall in his brown pants and white dress shirt, the perfect mix of professional and casual.

“Clark Durand?” she asks. “You’re talking about Clark Durand, aren’t you?”
