“Thanks for coming. I’m gonna go talk business, and then we’ll get out of here with some samples and head to Andre’s for dinner.”
Vera grabbed the back of my coat before I could leave. “Don’t forget our meeting in front of the fireplace tonight. I believe you were mentioning something about my pussy in your face before we were rudely interrupted.”
Yeah… I think I might love this woman.

“It was a pleasure doing business with you, Mr. Myers, and I speak for everyone here at Bellamy Vineyards that we look forward to a long-standing partnership.”
“Likewise,” Hart agreed, shaking hands.
Colin turned to me. “I enjoyed talking fermentation shop with you, Miss Vera. I mean it; keep us in mind,” he said, handing me a business card.
I accepted the card with a soft smile and tucked it into my purse. “Thank you.”
Hart’s phone buzzed. He glanced down, and the way his expression dropped made my stomach tighten.
“What happened?”
The man was so disappointed, he couldn’t even speak. He turned the screen toward me instead.
FERRY SERVICE SUSPENDED – ALL REMAINING SAILINGS CANCELED.
“Oh… that’s not good. You have a game tomorrow.”
“Yeah,” Hart sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “We’re not getting back to the mainland tonight, and I have a mandatory team meeting at 10:00. Coach is gonna have my ass.”
My gaze drifted to the downpour outside the window that hadn’t let up since our arrival, and if it weren’t for the plastic coverings on the golf cart, we’d be soaked to the bone.
“We need to find a place to stay,” Hart announced, tapping and scrolling his phone.
Colin cleared his throat. “Maybe I can be of assistance.” Hart paused, waiting for an explanation. “We have a cabin on the property. It’s usually occupied by honeymooners or wine-club members—but it’s currently vacant.”
My brows shot up. “A honeymoon cabin?”
Colin laughed. “I promise it’s not cheesy. The bed isn’t covered in rose petals or swan towels, but it’s an alternative to trying to find a room on short notice.”
Hart looked at me, silently gauging my reaction. Eventually, I gave him a nod of approval.
“And you’re sure it’s okay?” Hart asked Colin.
“Absolutely,” Colin agreed. “Consider it a partnership bonus.”
A few minutes later, Colin handed Hart the key, gave him directions to the cabin, and informed him that it was fully stocked with clean linen, towels, and toiletries, along with dry firewood in the shed behind the cabin.
Hart remained silent as he maneuvered the Bronco down the washed-out path to the cabin. His jaw ticked with frustration, and his hand gripped the steering wheel so hard the veins in his forearms bulged. For a second, my freaked-out self was thinking about another set of veins. My eyes followed the veins down his arm to the slight spread of his legs.
“Are you staring at my dick?”
I froze, realizing I was openly gawking at Hart’s crotch, and I may or may not have been repeatedly working my teeth into my bottom lip.
“Don’t be ridiculous, Hart,” I replied dismissively, peering out the windshield at the cabin in the distance.
Hart laughed until his shoulders bounced and his face turned red. Meanwhile, I was two seconds away from throwing open the passenger door and tucking and rolling. I tried to shrug him off when he grabbed the back of my neck and pulled me over the console. “Don’t worry. I’ll feed you, Sugar,” he whispered against my temple before releasing me.
“I’m sure we will be equally fed tonight,” I responded.
