Robyn lay on her back, her arms by her side, and closed her eyes. Fox was suddenly there above her, his golden brown eyes looking at her with an intensity that made her breath catch, as she remembered his body pinning her to the floor. The vision lasted just a millisecond, but it sent a jolt through her like lightning. Last time she’d seen him like that, there had been no clothes between them. Just skin on skin. The memory was branded somewhere deep inside her. Oh God, now she was thinking about Fox being deep inside her.

‘Clear your mind,’ the yogi instructed, as if she could read Robyn’s thoughts.

Robyn exhaled slowly. But the image remained, making her press her thighs tightly together. A soft snore beside her, followed by a louder one. She poked Amber with a finger, and she awoke with a snort.

Yoga was apparently normally followed by coffee at Tutto Mio, which Robyn figured she had time for before school pick-up and the dentist. Wren met them there and Isabella ensconced them into a corner table where one of the team took their order: three pumpkin spice lattes and herbal teas for Robyn and Wren.

‘Looks like you’ve done a lot of yoga before, Robyn,’ Isabella said. ‘You’re so agile.’

Robyn nodded. ‘I started practising seriously when I spent six months in India. I just fell in love with it.’

Amber interrupted with a whisper.

‘That guy is totally checking you out, Robyn.’ She tipped her head towards the bar.

Robyn glanced at the man there, who did indeed seem to be looking in her direction. He was tall, blond, maybe a bit younger. He blushed and looked away when she made eye contact, studying the menu instead.

‘Not surprising, though,’ Amber continued. ‘You must get that wherever you go.’

Robyn laughed.

‘Not that I’ve noticed recently,’ she said. ‘I’m normally too busy looking at this one.’ She tapped Willow on the nose. ‘But I guess in my past I enjoyed the freedom that came with being single.’

‘Well, maybe you ought to take a look around now,’ Wren said. ‘See what catches your eye.’

Drinks arrived and the scent of fresh mint tea filled the air.

Robyn smiled but shook her head. ‘I don’t think so, not at the moment.’ She shrugged.

‘Why not?’ Wren asked.

‘When was your last relationship?’ Isabella asked. ‘Was it with Willow’s dad?’

Robyn nodded and sipped her tea, not offering anything else. It would be stretching the truth somewhat to call what she and Fox had experienced a relationship. Intense sexual experience and multiple orgasms would be closer to the mark. But the more she gave them, the more they’d ask, and she couldn’t risk anyone figuring out it was Fox.

‘And have you had sex since him?’ Amber asked.

‘Nope,’ Robyn confirmed, without adding any clarification.

‘And how long is that?’ Wren asked and Robyn hesitated, not wanting to admit she hadn’t had sex since Willow’s conception.

‘A long time,’ she confirmed. ‘And believe me, I’ve always loved sex and the way that bodies can give each other so much pleasure.’

‘Amen to that.’ Amber high-fived her across the table.

‘We could help,’ Wren said, clasping her hands together as though praying to get involved.

‘We could set you up a dating profile, for a bit of fun while you’re in town?’ Isabella suggested.

‘Or maybe introduce you to some of Alex’s friends? Do you like musicians?’ Amber asked.

‘Or Etienne’s friends, if you prefer chefs?’ Isabella added.

Robyn scrunched up her nose, not knowing any of either.

‘What’s your type?’ Wren asked. ‘Is it still the sustainable man, all wellies and outdoor clothes?’

‘God, no, I don’t want to be reminded of Finn!’ Robyn said.
