“Yeah. Yeah. You here for the meeting?” he asks, taking a small step closer.

“No. I thought I’d gate-crash a family meeting,” I deadpan.

“I’m sure it wouldn’t be your first,” he mutters, his eyes drifting from my face, slowly tracking down my body, making me internally burst into flames.

“Why were you trying to skid a horse across dirt?” I ask, changing the subject.

He frowns. “It’s called reining, sweetheart. It makes us a lot of money.”

“Oh, are you actually good at it?”

Must not think of his muscles. Must definitely not think of him on top of me. Or… riding me.

“Pretty decent.”

I cross my arms.

“Anything else you’d like to know about me?” he whispers, leaning closer.

“Can you find someone to teach me how to ride?”

If I’m going to get the animals here to like me, or even slightly fit in here, I need to learn.

His eyebrow arches. “If that's the position you wanna do next, just say the word.”

I scoff. “Find me a cowboy who isn’t an asshole, and I might take them for a ride.”

Dragging my finger up his chest, his breath hitches.

“You see, now that you took my virginity, the deal I had with my father is now over, and I’m a free woman, Colten. I can do what I want, when I want, with who I want,” I say sweetly.

Yet, for some reason, I absolutely want to get the full Colt experience. The first time ended far too quick, and I need to see what else he can do.

He swallows as I trace the line of his chiseled jaw.

“Because now, I have to prove to my husband that men do, in fact, want to fuck me,” I challenge, tipping up my chin.

His nostrils flare, and his eyes darken. I can’t hide my smile knowing that I’m getting to him.

I step back; his eyes drag over my outfit. “Do you think this will get me laid here?” I ask, and then do a little twirl to show him the ink on my back.

He groans under his breath but recomposes himself. “Do you think I care if you fuck someone else, Gianna?”

I shake my head, closing the distance again. “I don’t think, hubby. I know. I know because you regret what you said the second it flew out of your mouth. And I know that you came to my door last night and debated apologizing to me. That’s also why you ran to that bar after I sent one pathetic little text.”

I pause, watching the irritation grow on his face and enjoying every minute.

“You promised me a night of fun and delivered nothing. And then insulted me and my family. But you do want me, don’t you, Colt?” I breathe out, lightly brushing my hand over his hardening cock.

It’s good to let it out, but part of me wants to take it back. Because without realizing, I’ve just admitted far too much. And it all is laced with hurt.

“We’ve got a meeting to go to,” he says, voice low, stepping aside.

I laugh as I follow him down the hallway into the meeting. The men are all talking but fall silent when we arrive. I take my place beside Dom, like we did at our first meeting here. Opposite my husband.

“Nice of you two to join us,” Hunter says, tapping his fingers on the wood.

“Were you fuckin’?” Jett blurts out beside Colten.
