“What are you doing, Rylan?”

I scratch my head and shrug, saying, “I just felt like online shopping. Some asshole bought me clothes, but I’d rather shop for myself.”

“For clothes or computers?”

I playfully smirk. “Maybe I want to test the limit on that card you gave me.”

His chuckle causes wetness to pool between my thighs.

He closes the space, coming to stand directly in front of me. At first, I refuse to meet his stare, but that puts me at eye level with his cock.

“I was hungry,” I blurt out.

Why did I say that?

“I mean, that’s why I came downstairs.”

“I told you my touch doesn’t numb you,” he gloats, as if he can sense the need between my thighs.

“So tell me...” He arches a brow as his gaze drops to the hammer pulsing on my neck. “What is it you snuck out of your bedroom to search for?”

My heart is so mortified it tries to leave my body. I meet his stare, and all intentions of keeping my composure vanish. Lust. Sparks.

Would giving into temptation be so bad?

Didn’t I already do that? No, when I let his fingers slip inside me it was not about temptation, it was about escape.

There is something so tangible between us it’s stifling. Steffen is quicksand, and every move I make—even if it’s trying to fight to free myself—just drags me closer to him.

Closing my eyes, I tip my head back against the fancy chair. Stop. Focus.

A warm hand caresses my face. “Keep your eyes closed,” he whispers, his lips suddenly grazing my ear. I feel the heat of his breath on my neck, sliding beneath my shirt.

His lips claim mine, the kiss mirroring the forceful passion with which he kidnapped me. He bends, lifts me, and places me on the desk. He hovers over me—I feel a tidal wave of deadly desire. I part my legs, letting him step nearer and close the space.

“Steffen.”

“Stop thinking and just feel,” he orders. I hear the smirk on his lips. “Good girl. You kept your eyes closed. You want this.”

“I don’t know what I want,” I reply. All my senses, other than my vision, are burning. It’s like I feel him everywhere: his breathing, his smirk, his touch, the weight of his body swaying into mine. His shadows, which cast darkness over my shut eyes, feel like a silken blindfold.

“Allow me to give you options,” he purrs. He places his hands on my shoulders and directs me to lie on the desk. The laptop’s cold metal rests against my back.

“Do you want my mouth this time?”

“Only if you are going to shut up,” I smirk, feeling brave with my eyes closed.

In a sudden move, he grabs the waistband of my sweatpants and pulls them off in one go. “Steffen!” My eyes flare open.

His hands cover them. “Keep them closed.”

“Why?”

“Hiding one sense heightens the others,” he replies. His hands land on my thighs, parting them and sliding my underwear down. My spine arches off the desk when his finger glides up and down my aching center. “Always ready for me, Little Thief.”

Just as I’m about to reply, his heated breath tickles me, and then his mouth covers me. I dig my nails into the desk, creating scratches on its surface. He probes with his tongue, then thrusts it inside me.

I tilt my head. Where has my sanity gone? “I don’t know what’s going on,” I moan as I surrender to his tongue inside me.
