“You know part of being your soulmate, I love bringing you pleasure. Anything you ask of me I’ll make sure you have. As my soulmate there's nothing on this planet I wouldn’t do for you. But, disrespect is something I'll never tolerate. If you want something, ask. If you want to know anything, again ask. There's nothing too big for me to do because you are my soulmate. When you until you fix that fucked up attitude then come talk to be and I’ll handle that,” I said nodded my head and dropped my vision towards her slightly visible pussy.
“I didn’t have an attitude, Kenji.” Quinny whined, stomping her foot on the ground. I chuckled, shaking my head at her, as I rounded the car. “Don’t you dare get in that car Kenji. I’m soorrrry! I didn’t mean it. I was confused.” She continued to pout as she stood facing me on the opposite side of the car.
I believed her when she said she was confused. That was probably where a lot of her aggravation was coming from. Figuring out vampires were real and finding out she’d been in a fake-ass relationship with a vampire wasn’t easy to deal with in one night. However, she had to learn how to communicate with me. I wasn’t just anybody. I was her soulmate. She needed to know she could come to me with any and everything. No matter how small or silly it seemed to her, I would listen. I had spent too many years waiting for Quinny for her not to be my everything.
Chapter 12
Quinny Parks
Kenji was becoming my kryptonite, and I was powerless to stop it. I thought I was tough enough to withstand whatever was brewing between us. I was wrong, very wrong. All it took was for him to touch me, and I became putty in his hands. I was damn near ready to say fuck everything and run away with Kenji and let him have his way with me. It sounded so damn good when I thought about it. I swear If it weren’t for Sutton and Emberly, I would have seriously considered it, but I wouldn’t have any true peace until I knew my sister was safe. I knew Benji was Kenji’s brother; still, I didn’t know who he was or what he’d done to Sutton. When I got my sister back, then I’d try to figure out what to do with my feelings for Kenji. The fact that I was sitting here contemplating changing my entire life to be with Kenji, spoke volumes. Then I had to figure out how to convince Emberly’s stubborn ass to move wherever Kenji was taking me and everything would be great in my world.
Right now, I was trying to keep myself from crying as I sat in the passenger seat, sadly looking out the window. I couldn’t believe Kenji had really stopped fingering me right as I was about to cum. My coochie was literally throbbing, begging for his finger to come back to finish what he’d started. The aching between my legs was going to drive me mad. My body only wanted Kenji, my own fingers weren’t good enough to get the job done. I kept shooting Kenji dirty looks that he ignored, which only aggravated me even more. I didn’t see how Kenji’s big stupid head ass was so calm when I knew for a fact his dick was harder than a block of cement. I had to fight myself from just saying fucking it and taking the dick. I mean at this point what did I have to lose?
“You know what I don’t get?” Kenji said, breaking the long, tense silence we’d been driving in. I didn’t answer him verbally; instead, I looked over at his glowing white irises curiously. “How you didn’t know buddy was a vampire? You ain’t think these tints were dark as fuck?”
I did ask Dante about his window tint. He said it was just for looks and he could see out the window. I didn’t question it much because I honestly could have cared less about what Dante had going on or his fucking ugly ass car. If he said he could see, then that’s just what it was. I never rode in Dante’s car with him. I always drove my own car when we went places together. I liked to be able to leave whenever I wanted, just in case something happened. But now, being inside the car, I didn’t see how Dante or Kenji could drive this car because the front windshield looked pitch black against the night sky. Bright lights looked dimmer than I knew they were outside of this car.
“I did. He told me some story about it not being that dark on the inside. It wasn’t my car, and I wasn’t riding in it.” I shrugged.
“How the fuck you was with him but ain’t been in his car, Quinny?” Kenji asked skeptically.
I shrugged my shoulders as I replied, “I don’t like riding with people. I prefer to drive myself.”
“And he was okay with that?”
Scoffing, I rolled my eyes. “He di—” My attitude was in full force again until Kenji gave me a look that had me changing my entire tone. “I, uh, he didn’t have any other choice,” I replied in a calmer, soft voice.
Kenji raised a brow, his lip curling into a mischievous smirk. “You only like riding with me? Right?”
“Yeah, Kenji.” I groaned, biting back the smile that was tugging at my lips.
“Better,” he said, winking at me.
“How can you see through this dark ass windshield?” I questioned, tilting my head slightly, waiting for his reply.
“Vampire. Our vision is 1,000 times better than humans’. Especially at night, all we need is a little light, and we’ll be able to see. Why do you think we’re so sensitive to sunlight. That shit is too bright for us.I bet you didn’t know the man who invented sunglasses was a vampire?”
“Seriously?” I titled my head to the side. He got my mind wondering about what else vampires could have invented.
“Yup. Tell me, what else do you know about dude? You ever met his friends or family?”
“No. I never thought about meeting his family, and he never brought it up.” I had to pause for a second to see if I remembered any of Dante’s friends, but I could faintly recall meeting a few of them. “I met one or two of them a long time ago. It was brief, and I don’t remember their names or their faces, honestly.”
It was crazy how it dawned on me how little I really knew about Dante’s life. I chalked my lack of knowing about him up to me not being interested, when it should have been a red flag that Dante wasn’t offering any information up. He was content for so long because he was keeping secrets that were right in my face, had I paid a little more attention. The fact that Dante was a vampire and had been this entire time made me feel foolish because, when I really thought about a lot of the weird shit he did, it made more sense that he was a vampire. We mainly did stuff at nighttime. Dante used to claim he worked the morning shifts at whatever his job was supposed to be. He hated garlic with a passion and claimed he was allergic to it. The one time I accidentally gave it to him, he threw it right up, and he had to leave my house. I didn’t hear from him for almost two weeks after that. When he did resurface, he said he’d been sick the entire time, and I thought he was lying, but I didn’t care enough to go digging for the truth.
“Soulmate, you gotta get yo’ shit together. You can’t be out here like a sitting duck.” Kenji jokingly snickered.
He was right. When I didn’t care about something or someone, I had little interest in knowing anything about them. Dante fell into that category. When I first met him, I fell for his face. Dante might have been a liar and a cheater, but he was still fine. It wasn’t until we started dating that his charm started to fade and I began losing interest in him. I didn’t even remember telling him I’d be his girlfriend. I just woke up one day to a text that said, “Thank you for agreeing to be my girlfriend.” Dante seemed so happy; the last thing I wanted to do was rain on his parade. I went along with the charade for so long because Dante didn’t bother me that much. We texted more than anything, he was like a penpal that wasn’t far away. The times he did come over, we’d fuck, and he’d go on about his day. I liked it like that. Dante wasn’t stuck up my ass, and that allowed me to live how I pleased. I remembered in the few other niggas I talked to, I hated how clingy they were. The fact that Dante wasn’t like that made it easier for me to keep him around.
“You said you broke up with Dante. Although y’all really weren’t together in my book, I still wanna know why,” Kenji asked with a slight frown.
“I caught him fucking another girl, but you wanna know what’s crazy?” I said with a perplexed expression as I thought about the situation from a new perspective. “We hadn’t seen each other for a few weeks, and he invited me to this club, and since I was bored, I figured I might as well go. I had talked to Dante right before I left for the club, but by the time I get there, he isn’t answering his phone. That pissed me off, and I started to go home. If that drive wasn’t an hour long, I would have. I bit the bullet and stayed. Going into the club, I was surprised to see it was more of a lounge type of club, which is right up my alley. I go sit at the bar, get a drink, and catch a vibe by myself. Then I saw Dante heading towards the back. I wanted to know what the fuck he had going on, so I hop up and follow him. I found this nigga in the bathroom with his dick buried in another bitch.” My face scrunched up thinking about that entire ordeal again.
An expression of jealousy crossed Kenji’s face as he bitterly asked, “Seeing him fucking another bitch pissed you off?”
His jealousy made me giggle. He had nothing to worry about when it came to Dante.
“No, not even a little. I honestly didn’t care. I just thought it was weird how Dante barely batted an eye in my direction. He wouldn’t stop fucking the girl. Even when I called his name, he kept on fucking that girl like his life depended on it. I ended up leaving, and he didn’t call me until the next night, trying to plead his case.” I snickered. The whole situation was crazy.
