“That could be your mom.”
“She’ll call back.”
“She is calling back.”
He smiled. “Come here.”
I pushed at his chest. “Check the damn phone.”
He groaned and reached for it, but I was closer so I grabbed it first. I immediately wished I hadn’t. There were six missed calls from Ravenna. Then a message appeared across the screen.
Ravenna: I need you.
Caleb reached for the phone, but I pulled it away. “What the fuck?”
“Blair.”
I held the screen up between us. “What the fuck is this?”
“It’s probably nothing.”
“Six calls is something.”
“I know.”
“Then why the fuck are you ignoring her?”
He reached again for his phone and I threw the phone at him.
He barely caught it. “Whoa.”
“Fuck you.”
I stood.
“Blair.”
“No.”
I grabbed my shirt and shoved my arms through it.
“Don’t.”
My head popped through the opening. “Don’t what?”
“Do this.”
I laughed. “Do what? Remember that you’re married?”
His face tightened. “That’s not fair.”
I pulled my shirt over my head. “She just called you six fucking times and said she needs you.”
“I haven’t talked to her.”
“Clearly she thinks she can talk to you.”
He looked down at his phone in his hand. “She’s probably having a hard time.”
