“I just don’t fucking get it.” Oak sipped his drink. “I mean, I can admit Penny’s hot. Smoking body, pretty face. But the fucking mouth on her. Why the hell does Hyde put up with her?”

Jekyll’s lips twitched. “Why don’t you ask him?”

Oak narrowed his gaze. “’Cause the last time I said anything about her, he nearly took my fucking head off. He’s like a dog with a bone when it comes to Penny.”

Hyde had his reasons, and he wasn’t obligated to share them with anyone.

Cross chuckled, giving a small shrug. “Then keep your fucking mouth shut.”

Joker came back to the table, placing his drink in front of Jekyll. He could’ve thanked him. Jekyll didn’t. He sipped his drink, settling back in his chair. A few women passed by the table, one familiar face sending him a glare.

“Joker,” he snapped, gaining everyone’s attention. “Need something else.”

Joker nodded, stopping at the end of the table. Jekyll leaned forward pointing to the woman and her group of three.

“The brunette in the black shirt, jeans, and purple stilettos? I want her out. And not just tonight. She’s banned from stepping foot in Killcreek. You make that fucking clear.”

“Just her or all of them?”

Jekyll sipped his drink, eyeing the women. There was a saying he’d heard a hundred times over, show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future. The last thing any of the members needed was to get involved with that type of bullshit.

“All.”

Without hesitation or question, Joker turned and stalked to the women.

“What did she do?” Addison asked, but her voice was low. She probably hadn’t expected him to answer.

Jekyll looked up at the VP’s old lady.

“Disrespected me in my house.”

Addison glanced over at him and nodded. “Well, that’s reason enough.”

He wasn’t sure what he’d expected, but it was a good fucking answer. It clearly showed Addison was very much part of their club and knew how it worked.

A few minutes later, Joker came back to the table and gave a curt nod. “It’s been handled. And I know you’re not asking for my opinion, but I definitely think that was a good call.”

Jekyll finished off the last of his whiskey. When he put his glass down, another appeared in front of him. Joker must’ve told a prospect to keep them coming. Again, respect.

Cross pulled out an empty seat and gestured for Addison to take it. Once she sat, he took the chair next to hers. “I got two jobs. A seven-day run out of state. Got Gent and Ghost. But need three more. You guys want it? Pays double.”

Count me the fuck in. Jekyll and Hyde had continued to make money on the inside. The banking was handled by Cypher, and when they got out, they’d both had a good savings. Technically, Jekyll didn’t need the cash, but he never turned down an opportunity to earn more. Spending most of his adolescent life poor, he never wanted to be in that position again. And I won’t be.

“I’ll take it,” he said in unison with Cue.

Oak waved his bottle. “I’m in.”

“Well, that was easier than I thought. Also got a run to Satan’s Hex. Surprise visit. Want to check out their safe house.”

Jekyll cocked his brow. “Don’t trust them, do you?”

Cross’s gaze darkened. “No.”

His VP gestured to Addison. It was code for not discussing it further in front of her. Jekyll followed his lead.

“I’ll take that one too.”

“Good, you’ll be riding with me and Ghost to check it out.”
