“Now get the fuck out.”

Jekyll followed behind Hyde and Cypher. When Cross closed the door behind him, Gent laughed.

“So we’ll be seeing more of Cherry, huh, Jek?”

Motherfucker! He turned to Gent, scowling. “You call her that again, I’m gonna fucking kill you.”

Gent spread his arms. “Brother, I like her. We bondaged over nicknames.”

Oak snorted. “It’s bonded not bondage, asshole.”

“Either way, I wouldn’t mind doing both with her.” Gent winked, which set Jekyll off.

Jekyll lunged forward, reaching for his throat, but Wraith blocked him. Cue grabbed the back of Gent’s cut. “Such a fucking dick.”

Ghost shook his head. “Doesn’t that shit ever get old, Gent?”

Gent laughed. “No.”

Asshole.

While all the other members headed to the elevator, Jekyll went in the opposite direction.

He knocked on her door, and it swung open instantly.

“Hi.”

Jekyll smirked. If he didn’t know better, he’d think she’d been standing there the whole time he was at Inez’s, just waiting.

She stepped aside. “Come on in.”

Jekyll walked down the hall, scanning the apartment. It was set up like Inez’s, except Imogene’s décor wasn’t nearly as dated.

“It’s kind of wild, right? Us running into each other here.”

Yeah, fucking wild.

“So how do you know Inez?”

This is where it would get tricky. Luckily, Jekyll was pretty good at evading questions he didn’t want to answer.

“An associate.”

“Oh.” She cocked her head. “What kind of…”

Jekyll folded his arms. “Is it okay if I stay the night?”

Her eyes widened. “Here? With me?”

He gave a sharp nod. “Yeah. And we’ll hang out tomorrow. That work for you?”

“Yes.” She blurted.

Mission accomplished.

Chapter Seventeen

This wasn’t the first time she’d retreated into the second apartment in the middle of the night. But it was a first leaving a man in her bed in the other.
