Luka chuckles, dipping his face to mine for a quick kiss. He grins as he pulls back. “We got so damn lucky that you’re receptive to our personal brand of crazy.”
They all keep saying that, but honestly…
I’m the one who lucked out.
I guess all four of us did.
“Here’s hoping you never get tired of our hovering.” He pecks a final kiss on my lips as I smile.
Get tired of them worrying about me?
That’ll never happen.
Chapter Thirty-Two
Abby
Lawson wasn’t lying when he said he would meet me outside.
I don’t even have my car in park before the front door opens, and Echo comes barreling down the stairs.
I’m surprised to see Bryant, rather than Lawson, following her out. He yells, trying to call her back to him, but she’s in one of those moods where she’s not going to listen.
I can’t believe he beat me home. He must have left the gym while Luka and I were in the apartment, packing stuff up. I would have thought I’d have noticed his truck missing from the gym parking lot, but I guess I wasn’t paying attention when I left.
Since I don’t have a clicker, I couldn’t park in the garage. That means we’ll be unloading my stuff in the cold. Not that the garage would have been much better. Realistically, I’m not sure my car will fit with their trucks.
Now that we’re bonded, I may not even keep my car, especially if there’s nowhere to store it.
I push those thoughts away and get my car turned off, tossing open my door.
Echo immediately jumps up, her front paws landing on my jeans.
“Hi, I missed you,” I say, giving her scratches. “Okay, I swear you’ve gained weight. Are you growing again? Does that even make sense?”
Of course she doesn’t answer, but I’ll have to ask Lawson.
I assumed she was full-grown.
Maybe she’s just filling out as she gets older.
With how gifted the guys are with cooking, I’m probably gaining weight too.
“All right, Echo. Back up for me,” I say, giving her a final pat.
She lunges at my face, licking my cheek.
I laugh and give her a gentle push so I can climb out. “Well, we’re still working on the manners thing.”
“Come on, ya brute,” Bryant says, grabbing the handle on her harness and tugging her out of the way. He steps up and offers me his hands, helping me from the car. “Did you get all your stuff?”
“I did.” I grin up at him. “My trunk is packed, but honestly, I never unloaded most of it into the apartment. There’s also a few bags in the back seat. That’s the stuff I use most often.”
“Just point me where you want me.” Bryant grins, dipping his mouth to mine for a quick kiss.
Echo barks, and we pull apart.
My jaw drops as I spot Tommy’s SUV coming up the driveway.
