“How could I take that the wrong way?” I blurted.

Our eyes were locked onto one another as our feet were glued to the floor. Tristen took a step toward me and immediately stepped into my personal space. And I was completely fine with him being there. I could smell his cologne, but I had no idea what it was. It smelled woodsy and spicy. It was a wild mix, and I was already addicted to him, but his scent pulled me in even more.

Tristen raised his hand and moved it to the collar of the shirt at the back of my neck. His fingertips brushed my skin, causing me to break out in a sweat. Without breaking eye contact with me, he tugged the collar back and took hold of the tag of my shirt. He broke eye contact for a moment to look at the tag, and then he let go of the shirt and patted the fabric against my skin.

“Just checking,” he said as he slowly moved his eyes down my face. I swear he stopped when he reached my mouth.

“What were you checking?” I asked.

“Just making sure that I was right about your size.”

“Why?”

Tristen took a step back, but continued to look at me.

“I’m going to have something delivered to your room tomorrow morning. It’ll be something for you to wear for your first Equinox weekend party.”

“What? Are you sure? I did bring jeans and a T-shirt. I don’t have to wear polos and twill.”

“You mentioned hating your wardrobe.”

“Yeah, but you don’t have to get me something; you guys just gave me a lot of money, and I can shop.”

“I have doubts about your shopping abilities yet.” Tristen laughed and pulled his phone out of his pocket and began scrolling and typing. He was right, though, and I found myself laughing with him.

“I have my first sketch at 10:00, so there probably won’t be enough time for something to arrive.”

Tristen made a tsking noise and slowly looked up from his phone and stared at me with a playful gleam in his eyes. There was something about the look in his eye that sparked something deep within. Something I couldn’t explain. But under no circumstances did I want to look away.

“Don’t underestimate me. You’ll have a box delivered to your room in time for you to put everything on and wear to breakfast. And I mean everything. Am I clear?”

I nodded and swallowed hard to hopefully restore some moisture to my mouth that had become incredibly dry.

“Yeah, sounds like a plan,” I repeated so he would know that I was on board.

“The answer I’m looking for is, ‘Yes, sir,’ Cash.”

Fuck, the look in his eyes was intense, and his voice was almost menacing, yet I wasn’t afraid. I was loving it!

Without looking away, I cleared my throat and replied with, “Yes, sir.”

Satisfied by my response, he nodded and said, “See you at breakfast,” before he turned and headed down the hallway.

“Hey, Tristen,” I called after him. When he turned to look at me, I asked, “Were you right about my size?”

“Of course.” He winked at me before turning to walk away.

Motionless, and more turned on than I’d ever been in my life, I stood there watching him until he disappeared around the corner.

CASH

Had I dreamed up everything from the hallway last night with Tristen? Before I had fallen asleep last night, I replayed the conversation over and over. I jacked off twice to it, only I changed it some to Tristen coming into my suite and banging the fuck out of me. I’d totally take it.

There was something about Tristen and Joel that drove me wild. It brought out a side of me that I didn’t think I needed alcohol in my system to enjoy. That was both scary and yet relaxing. Tristen’s voice was on repeat in my mind of him basically telling me to call him sir. I loved it and found that it made me extremely hard.

I was wide awake at 5:30 a.m. and laid lazily in bed, thinking about Tristen and last night, until almost 6:45. Was he really having something sent to me this morning to wear? The excitement of the unknown pulled me out of bed. It was well after 9:30 last night when I got back to my room. How would Tristen have had time to order something and have it delivered? He was probably just messing with me.
