Well, I’ll be…

“We’ll also help get more security,” Garen says.

“Not the invasive kind,” Cade adds in a rush. “We mean more trusted guards.”

“There were some Omegas we helped free from Bert’s clutches who don’t have anywhere to go now. I was able to speak with some who would really like to come here and help out, if you’ll let them.”

“Of course,” more than one person tells me at a time.

“But we need to come up with ideas of what the business will become.”

And that’s what we spend the rest of the day doing, me there to bounce ideas off of and to be the best moral support cheerleader I could possibly be.

Chapter Thirty

Garen

Sin’s bedroom in the club is small, but clean. She didn’t want to leave the other Omegas behind so soon, especially after they had decided what they wanted to do with the business.

They’re turning it into a cafe in the front, and an Omega halfway house in the back.

Sin’s eyes were tearful when they finalized the decision as a group, and one of the bouncers embraced her friend, Matty, in front of all of us, kissing his hair in celebration.

Then, after shuttering the building and turning off the phones, we popped the most expensive bottles of champagne in the reserve fridge at the bar. It was disgusting, but the dead taste buds were worth it for the celebration.

“Sorry that it’s not much.” Sin lets out a nervous laugh. “If you guys want to go back to your hotel—”

“Not a chance.” I pull her into me and wrap my arms around her, take in her scent.

“You don’t mind if I take a quick shower, do you?”

“Need help?” Cade asks from behind me, laughter in his tone.

Sin stills in my embrace.

She’s not ready.

I’m aware.

“Let’s let her have some time to herself.” I kiss the top of her head. “We’ll be right here.”

Her eyelids flutter as she looks up at me. “Thank you.”

Once the water is running in the small en suite bathroom, Cade sighs. “I’m an idiot.”

“Not at all,” I argue. “We all want her more than our next breath. But she’s been through a lot.”

Cade drops to the mattress with a small bounce and a huff, and Ilya takes the only chair in the room, one that looks rather uncomfortable.

“We’ll help Sin heal at her pace.”

Cade nods in agreement. “There is also the… other issue.”

Ilya’s displeasure ripples through our bond. “I’m not looking forward to that.”

“Me neither, mate. But it’s a must.”

“Do you really think she’ll be mad at us?”
