“Why?”

“Because it’s a mattress,” I say, sticking out my tongue so Finn drops another candy onto it. “First of all, what are they going to do? Give us a mattress? This one is fine.” I stop chewing, catching myself. “And my mattress is fine at home.”

Finn’s face buries into my hair, and I feel him smile. My cheeks heat, but I don’t dwell on my misspeak. It’ll only make it more awkward.

“Besides,” I say, pushing on. “I don’t want to think that people will see the commercial and imagine our sex life. It’s … no.”

“Okay,” he says, clicking off the message. “Moving on …” Before my eyes can adjust, he starts laughing.

“What is it?”

“I’m going to go out on a limb here and say the pleasure toy company is probably a no, too.”

I giggle. “There’s not a chance in hell.” I sit up, pulling his hand away from the keyboard. “Oh, but I do like the look of that thing. How many speeds does it have?”

He elbows me to push me back and opens a new tab. I burst out laughing as he searches for the item, adds it to his cart, and has it purchased in sixty seconds flat.

“That’s one way to market your product,” I say, still giggling.

His grin fans the flame rebuilding in my core. How that’s possible after the number of times that I’ve climaxed tonight, I don’t know. But it’s true.

I rest my head against his bicep, feeling the muscle ripple as he scrolls his email. My eyes flutter closed, and I breathe him in. Whether it’s his scent, the orgasms, or simply his body next to mine that loosens the tension in my shoulders like this, I don’t know. But this level of relaxation doesn’t happen anywhere but with Finn.

“How about this one?” he asks, opening another message. This one is from Landry Family Wines. “Chuck negotiated this one.” He highlights lines with his cursor as he reads from the attachment. “They want one photo shoot, max two hours, in a celebratory engagement setting. It looks like I have to share their social media posts within a certain number of days, and we get … seven hundred thousand dollars.”

My eyes widen, and I lift my head. “For that? You’re joking.”

“Crazy, isn’t it?”

“The word asinine was coming to mind, but sure, we’ll go with crazy.” I sigh. “I just don’t understand your life,” I say, accepting another piece of candy. “These companies throw this kind of money around for pictures, and there are people starving in the world. It makes no sense.”

“Agreed. But with Landry Wines, in particular, I know they do a ton for charity and give back to their community. I did a sports benefit a couple of years ago with Lincoln Landry—not sure if he’s their kid or sibling. Either way, very nice guy.” He grins. “I wouldn’t say humble, necessarily, but a good person.”

I smile. “Oh, I know Lincoln Landry.”

Finn reaches across me and pinches my nipple, making me laugh.

“Is this one a go or a no?” he asks. “I’ll ensure there’s an addendum that Lincoln Landry is nowhere near the photo shoot if we do it.”

I press a kiss to Finn’s chest. “He might be gorgeous, but he would melt into the background if you were around.”

He lifts my chin with the tip of his finger, lowering his mouth to mine. His lips are warm and soft, slightly swollen from the action they’ve received tonight. He kisses me gently but with such intention that it’s clear—there’s no place he’d rather be than here, kissing me.

“Let’s do that one,” I say when he pulls away. “Seems easy enough.”

He waits until I’m cuddled against him again before he continues scrolling.

“This one is interesting,” he says. “I’ve been waiting to see where this one wound up.” He clicks on an email. “Have you ever stayed at a Ruma hotel?”

I shake my head. “No, but Branch took Layla to one for their babymoon, and she said it was incredible.”

“They are super nice. And they’re willing to give us a million bucks to say that.”

Holy shit. “Where does it say that?”

He highlights a line on the screen. “We’ll have to film a few spots at one of their pre-selected resorts, but it looks like they’ll give us a choice of a few locations. Seems like it’s a honeymoon-style shoot. And there’s a few social media things that make no difference to me, so this one is up to you.”

“A crap ton of money and a free vacation? Sure, I’ll lie on a beach chair and have you look at me like you love me and get paid for it.”
