I don’t want him to do anything he doesn’t want to do. I don’t want to force him to be a part of something he isn’t sure of.
“He doesn’t think he deserves to touch you,” Kingston whispers. “He’s unsure of his place with you after everything that’s happened.”
I nod slowly, my heart racketing in my chest so hard it borders on pain.
“Do you want me to help you show him how much you want him?”
“Yes,” I murmur without hesitation, because despite finding myself in the middle of four men, I don’t have that much experience. I wouldn’t have the first clue how to make sure Damon knows I want him.
He lets out a pleased hum as one of his hands wraps around my throat while the other returns to my throbbing pussy.
I didn’t know it was possible to feel so much all at once, but I have a feeling I’m going to come to crave it.
“Reach for him,” he instructs, drawing lazy circles around my throbbing clit. “Ask him to come to you.”
I bite down on my bottom lip, worrying it between my teeth as I desperately try to find the courage to do as I’m told.
There’s a voice in the back of my mind that can’t help but remind me that Damon has rejected me over and over again. When we were teenagers, every time I tried to understand why he disappeared from my life like I meant nothing, and even when I was in the cellar beneath the compound and he finally kissed me.
“He wants you so badly, Chloe,” King assures me. “Can’t you see the tension in his shoulders? Can’t you see how desperate he is to touch you?”
I swallow, nodding slowly despite his hold on my throat.
“I know you’re scared, Mama. But sometimes the scary things are most worth it.”
I suck in an unsteady breath and lift my trembling hand toward Damon.
His eyes drop from mine for the first time since I looked his way, locking on my hand with furrowed brows.
When he makes no move to come closer, embarrassment washes over me in a brutal wave.
He’s going to reject me again.
I’ve allowed myself to be vulnerable in front of him, in front of all of them, and he’s going to walk away.
“Breathe, Mama. Just give him a minute.”
Kingston’s steady presence at my back allows my body to calm enough that I don’t withdraw my hand, but anxiety still riots inside my chest.
Tears gather at the corners of my eyes as I prepare myself for the rejection, but just as I’m about to drop my hand, he moves.
He shifts to the edge of his seat, his gaze searching my face for something. I can see the uncertainty Kingston mentioned warring behind the icy orbs, but I don’t know how to take it away. I don’t know how to prove to him that I want this. That I’ve always wanted this.
“Damon,” I murmur.
His jaw clenches at the sound of his name on my lips, but he still doesn’t move.
“He’s about to break, Mama,” Kingston says softly. “He just needs a little push.”
A slow smile tugs at my lips as a burst of confidence finds its way to the surface along with an idea.
The words form on my lips, and before I can talk myself out of them, I set them loose.
“I want you to crawl to me.”
