“I don’t trust her ass.”
“Now, why you say that? I think she’s a nice, pretty young lady.”
“Yeah, she wants your son’s dick,” I said under my breath.
“What you say?”
“Nothing, ma!” I yelled as I made my way to her bedroom. I don’t care how old I got, when I climbed in my mama’s bed, all my damn worries were eliminated. As her ceiling fan blew down on me, my eyes got heavier and heavier. I fell right to sleep with my mind at ease.
7. SUMMER
Jill’s crying was starting to really work my damn nerves. She was acting like she was with Trey for a long time or something. She met the nigga a few weeks ago. Why the fuck was she laying in my bed crying like her heart was so broken? Meanwhile, I was getting dressed to go and chill with Trey. A piece of me was nervous because I blew Law off to be with Trey.
“Jill, maybe you need to go out to one of those weird ass bars you go to. I’m sure you’ll find another guy by the end of the night.”
“It’s easy for you to just say that because you got a man who loves your ass. Law would kill for you, but here I am, can’t keep a man.”
“Trey probably wasn’t the guy for you. Usually, the guys you bring around are tattoo artists or bartenders. How the hell did you meet Trey?” I questioned.
“I don’t even remember. All I can remember is seeing his fine ass and shooting my shot.”
“Wow, you have no shame.”
I slipped my ass into my pants and put my shoes on. Trey said all he wanted to do was talk, so I was going to hear what he had to say. We didn’t have any closure, and I think we both needed it. As I grabbed my purse and keys, a text from Trey came through my phone providing me with his address.
“Jill, I hate I can’t sit around and eat ice cream and shit with you, but I got to go.”
Jill dramatically climbed out of my bed and walked out of my room. It was a must that I kept my door locked. I had money and other valuable things in my room that Law bought me. Jill was cool, but not cool enough just to leave my shit around. I locked up and walked in the living room to see Jill eating ice cream and turning a movie on. I felt bad, but then again, I didn’t give a damn. Trey decided to break up with her; I didn’t make him.
As I drove the few minutes to Trey’s apartment, I tapped my fingers to Ella Mai’s new song. The song reminded me so much of my relationship with Trey. Then I thought about Law. There was no way I could lose him. After tonight, I’m laying everything on the line with Trey so I could freely love Law.
Trey’s car was backed into a spot as I pulled into the empty spot next to his. I was a little afraid because Savannah was only so big, and it was easy to get caught, especially in an apartment complex. Everyone knew me as Law’s girlfriend. Opening up my glove compartment, I grabbed a pair of shades and threw them on before I rushed to his apartment door and knocked. It didn’t take any time for him to come to the door.
“I know you’re trying to hide and shit, so I was waiting.” He greeted me with a kiss on my cheek.
“I mean, I do got a whole nigga. Everyone knows we go together.”
“Ain’t got shit to do with me. You want something to drink or eat?”
“Nah.”
Trey walked around with his shirt off, showing all those sexy ass tattoos he had on his front and back. His basketball shorts were on his ass, but I could see the band of his boxers. The print of his dick was visible as he took a seat on the sofa.
“Summer, please stop acting like a stranger. It’s been a few years, but damn, it ain’t like you don’t know who the fuck I am.”
I took a seat next to Trey, trying to put some distance between us, but he grabbed me and sat me on his lap. Trey’s dick started growing under me as his hands caressed my thighs.
“Trey, I came over here to talk.”
“We’re talking. Don’t act like you don’t know how we communicate.”
Pushing his face away from mine, I stared at him intensely. “I’m serious.”
“I’ght. Talk, but I’m not moving you off my lap.”
“It’s kind of hard to talk to you if I’m sitting on your lap.”
Trey shrugged, letting me know he wasn’t trying to hear what I was saying. I had my thoughts together all the way over here, and now that he was in front of me, I didn’t know what to say. Did I ask him why he left? Why he cheated? Shit, I didn’t know where to start.
