He picks up speed and my body moves with his, perfectly in sync. I meet every thrust, lifting my hips to take as much of him as possible. Over and over. I don’t want it to end. He seems to know just the right angle to make me whimper and bring on that coiling deep in my belly that tells me I’m going to come again.

“Cash—I’m so close!” I whimper.

He crashes his mouth to mine, kissing me roughly, all tongue and lips and saliva—savagely passionate. Wildly erotic. Exactly what I need to push me over the edge.

“Oh yes!” I scream as my world splinters around me, this orgasm even harder than the first. My body is no longer my own, pulsing and shaking, my legs completely useless. All there is right now is…this.

Him.

Whatever the fuck you call the best sex of your life.

And that says a lot because I love sex.

“Fuck!” The roar that leaves him bounces off the walls as he pumps into me a few more times. He shakes much like I did, an out-of-control shiver that moves his entire body.

Then, my pussy still pulsing with tiny aftershocks, he collapses against me. Sweaty. Spent. Sated. I know he’s satisfied because I am. Because I felt him let go while giving me everything he has.

And it’s perfect.

Just how I wanted to start my birthday celebration.

Tomorrow night will be all about a nice dinner, a bottle of wine, and my best girlfriends.

Tonight, well, I don’t even have words for this except that it was just right.

“Happy birthday to me,” I whisper happily.

“Happy birthday, babe.”

Chapter Five

Cash

I roll over lazily. I have no idea what time it is since I pulled the blackout curtains in the room, but I already know she’s gone. The bed feels cool beside me and when I turn over and open my eyes, I’m alone. A strange disappointment washes over me, which isn’t like me at all, and I rub my eyes.

For some reason, I hoped she’d stay for breakfast.

Maybe give me her number.

I wasn’t planning to call but I would’ve liked the option.

That probably makes me an ass, but last night blew my mind. She was magnificent, and I don’t just mean the sex. Everything about her. How pretty she is. Her gorgeous body. How much fun we had dancing—which says a lot since I’m not normally a fan. Offering to buy her own drinks. She ticked every damn box.

And the sex was incredible.

Now she’s gone, and I don’t even know her last name.

Shit.

I sit up and that’s when I see the folded piece of paper on the pillow next to me. I snatch it up, hoping beyond hope she left her number, but no. Just a lipstick kiss and three words: Best. Birthday. Ever.

Dammit.

I stare at it, reading it several times, and then slowly fold it back up. Much as I’d love to find her, I don’t have the time. We’re flying home today and I have to meet up with Simon to head to the airport.

I grab my phone and see a text.

SIMON: Meet you in the lobby at 11:30.
