He nods, and I sigh.

This is going to be a shit night…

“What the fuck, Cillian?!” a man growls behind me, and his voice sends a shiver down my spine.

Fuck…

I turn around and see him there… the man of my nightmares.

The asshole who rocked my world only to leave me behind.

Knox.

He looks like he just walked out of a war zone. He’s all roughed up, has a bruise on his jaw, and a bandage peeking from his sleeve.

Damn, he looks so hot.

For a second, I am ecstatic to see him. The crushing anxiety I’ve been feeling for the last couple of days lifts from my chest, and I can finally breathe.

I know it sounds dramatic, and it probably is since I am a bit tipsy by now, but somehow seeing Knox here, glaring at me like he’s always done, gives me a sense of security.

That is, at least until he moves and the fucking Korean beauty walks out from behind him.

What. The. Fuck.

Were they together all these days?!

My blood boils with uncontrollable anger and bitter jealousy.

I’ve spent days thinking about him, wanting him, needing him, and this asshole has been—what? “Raiding” the beauty?

And then he brings him here? To my table?

While working for me?

Fuck him.

I turn around, take another shot glass, and down it.

“Say goodbye, Cillian,” Knox growls. “We’re leaving right now.”

I tilt my chin up, deliberately letting my eyes linger on his companion before sweeping back to Knox’s furious face.

“And why would I do that, Knox? I’m having a wonderful time.”

Knox’s jaw tenses, and it makes me wanna kiss him and punch him.

“Get up. Now.”

“Go away, Knox.”

And does he?

Nope.

The giant steps forward, grabs me by the wrist, and yanks me toward him.

“Hey! Let him stay.” Julian starts to stand up, but Alistair holds out a hand, stopping him.
