Damián squints, focusing on the metal. “…Is that… No me jodas. Is that Alexios’s ‘Stalker 3000’ bracelet?”

“Yes.”

“You really tagged him?” Damián laughs. “Oh, man. Logan is going to freak the hell out.”

“I don’t care if Logan freaks out. Cillian has escaped way too many times and ditched his tracker phone,” I seethe. “I’d put him in a concrete box if it were legal.”

“Which is not legal,” Law points out, looking terrified that we might actually do it.

And I want to call him dramatic, but given Damián and Björn’s track record, boxing up a client wouldn’t even reach the top ten weirdest or potentially illegal things Harknett has done.

Another guy around Cillian’s age shows up with two bottles of champagne and slides into the hot tub.

He has the same build and type as Cillian, only his hair is brown, and his face isn’t half as attractive.

A few girls surround him and giggle, trying to get his attention, but his target, like everyone else’s in here, is Cillian.

He leans in, passing Cillian a bottle.

“That’s Julian Brown,” Leo says, suddenly appearing beside us with a glass of champagne.

“That name is on the auction list,” Alexios says, checking his phone. “Thirty-seven, business major, no felonies. Raised by a single mother after his alcoholic father disappeared. He has a shitty past, but seems… ambitious.”

“More like a wannabe,” Leo counters. “Always trying to mimic Cillian since college.”

“Another rich asshole,” I grunt, watching Julian force a female guest to scoot over so he can sit right next to Cillian.

“Actually, he was on a scholarship,” Leo corrects. “He’s a dick, but he’s smart.”

“He seems awfully interested in getting Cillian’s attention,” Law points out.

“The only thing he’s interested in is being Cil’s copy and his bestie,” Leo groans, chugging the rest of his drink. “At least Aurelio didn’t show up.”

“Aurelio?” I ask, the name slipping out before I can stop myself.

Because why the hell do I care who Aurelio is?

“The gold-digging, dickless, bitchy ex,” Leo says, waving a hand dismissively. “Broke up over a year ago. Don’t ask.”

Fuck… Now I want to ask a hundred more questions.

Like, why did they break up?

What the hell is a dickless bitchy?

Who broke up with whom?

Is he tall, dark, and muscular?

…Not that I give a shit about Cillian’s sexual preferences, obviously.

It’s strictly for security reasons.

“You’re awfully well-informed, mate.”

“I’m bored, and I like drama,” Leo shrugs. “They’re like my personal TV show, without commercials and—Oh, my God! Is that Jeong Tae?”

I turn around and see Tae.
