“Don't care,” he snorts, using the lube to stretch my hole without any preamble. “You're tied up. I don't play without a safeword.”
“Colorado,” I growl, hating the way I push back against his fingers, seeking that spot inside that'll make me forget everything.
“Fucking nerd.” Dev removes his fingers and positions the tip of his cock at my entrance. “Use it if you can't handle this dick.”
Then he enters me in one quick thrust.
I squeeze my eyes shut, breath catching in my throat. Pain and pleasure blur into something holy and horrible all at once when he starts to thrust.
There’s no sanctity in this. No redemption. Just skin and heat and the sound of my own betrayal echoing in every slap of his hips against mine.
In this moment, I don’t feel wanted. I feel used, but I’m using him right back.
And God help me, I know what it feels like to fall from grace the moment he pulls me up by the throat and makes me come all over my kitchen table.
I don't call Colorado once.
Chapter
Twenty-Four
Salem - Present
The RV is silent.
Uncomfortably, suffocatingly silent.
We’ve squeezed in wherever we can: Arya's curled up against Christian at the table, Taylor’s perched on the edge of a bunk while Huck stands like the linebacker he is near the door. I’m on the floor, knees to my chest, arms wrapped tight around myself while I glare between Logan and Dev.
They're sitting as far away from each other as possible, each on opposite ends of this tin can. Neither one looks at the other, which is laughable because we all just caught them fucking kissing. Ignoring each other won't make us forget what we saw. It won't make me forget. That image will be branded on my brain for always and eternity.
Taylor's the first to speak, of course. “So… You’re adopted.”
Right. And there's that little tidbit of info that Logan failed to mention until after we all about rinsed our eyes out with bleach.
Logan nods once, gaze on his shoes. “Yeah.”
Tay tilts his head. “Since when?”
“Pretty sure since birth, fool,” Christian pipes up, leaning over to smack his best friend upside the head.
Logan lifts a shoulder half-heartedly. “He’s right. Dev told me last year in Vegas.”
His eyes briefly flicker to mine before dropping again. I stiffen, realizing that it must have happened right after we got married—before he abandoned me.
“And you just didn’t tell anyone?” Arya cuts in with a frown. Pretty sure she's just here for the drama.
“I mean… I told Huck.”
“So then what?” I spit, the words spewing out of me like venom. “You just decided to fuck him? Or was this about getting back at me for fucking him?”
Logan’s head whips toward me as something breaks behind his eyes. “What? No. Jesus, Salem, it wasn’t like that.”
I laugh mirthlessly and uncurl from my spot on the floor. “Then fucking explain it to me because that's sure as shit what it looks like.”
Huckslee clears his throat, shifting awkwardly near the door. “Maybe we should all just—”
“Don’t,” I snap without taking my eyes off Logan. “I deserve to know.”
