She caught my hand.
“Come on.”
I let her lead me to the bedroom.
Her hand stayed wrapped around mine until we reached her bedroom, but the second she turned toward me, I caught her around the waist and pulled her back.
Luna laughed, the sound barely making it out before I kissed her.
There was no hesitation in the way she came against me. No space left for me to wonder whether she meant what she said in the kitchen.
I want you.
Her fingers slipped beneath my shirt, palms moving over my skin before she pushed it higher. I pulled back long enough to drag it over my head.
Luna watched me toss it aside.
Then kept watching.
I smiled. “What?”
“I’m looking.”
“I see that.”
“Then why’d you ask?”
I shook my head and reached for her.
My hands slipped beneath her shirt, moving over warm skin until her breath caught. I slowed, letting my thumbs retrace the same path along her sides.
Her body responded again.
I did it once more just because I could.
“Ellis.”
I pulled her shirt over her head.
For a second, I just looked at her.
She didn’t cover herself or turn away. She stood there and let me, and that got to me more than I expected.
“You’re beautiful.”
Something soft passed over her face.
“Thank you.”
I kissed her before I could smile at how easily she accepted it.
Her fingers found the button of my jeans as I walked her backward toward the bed, but I caught her hand before she could get any farther.
“Not yet.”
“Ellis—”
My mouth found her neck.
