Louis smiled, watching as he stripped off his shirt and dropped his pants. He stepped out of his shoes and went to the bed and reclined on his elbows.

Louis eyed his boxers, where his cock was tenting the fabric. “All your clothes.”

Riley lifted his hips to slide off the boxers. “Socks?”

Louis considered. “Leave those.”

Riley stroked himself lazily while he watched Louis take off his clothes and go to the nightstand. He produced lube and condoms from a drawer, and Riley watched him walk back and set them on the floor by Riley’s foot. He watched him kneel and take Riley in his mouth, and Riley’s head tipped back with a sigh.

When Louis had been sucking his cock long enough that Riley was beginning to worry what else he had planned and how long he’d need to last for it, Louis pulled off and picked up the condom. Riley watched as he rolled it on and coated him in lube, then he stood up and straddled him. He sank onto him and Riley groaned, his head tipping back again, eyes fluttering closed.

“Eyes on me,” said Louis.

“Fuck,” Riley whispered. “Aye, Sir.”

He met Louis’ gaze again and Louis smiled and began to ride him.

Fuck, he felt incredible. Riley stayed up on his elbows, fisting his hands in the sheets as he did his best to keep his eyes on Louis as directed. Louis moved slowly, his hand coming to the middle of Riley’s chest. Riley allowed himself to be pushed onto his back, lifting his hands to grip Louis by the hips. He squeezed and kneaded them as Louis rocked with agonizing slowness, trying to get him to speed up, but Louis shook his head.

“Mm-mm. I’m in charge here.”

“Fffuck,” Riley moaned, tipping his head back with a frustrated growl. “Are you serious?”

“Look at me, please,” Louis repeated, and Riley grit his teeth and glared at him.

He had no fucking idea how long it took. Louis went so achingly slowly that by the time Riley was getting close he was a mess. He distinctly remembered Louis saying they were going to do something nice for each other, but this was torture. Delicious, agonizing torture. Louis was enjoying it though, and that was the important thing.

When he felt it finally happening he could’ve cried with relief. He cupped Louis’ face and pulled him down to kiss him, holding tight as he swore into Louis’ mouth. Louis wrapped his hand around his cock and came a moment later, still kissing him as he splashed hot on Riley’s chest. He collapsed with his forehead to Riley’s shoulder, and Riley put his arms around him and just held him while they breathed together.

It was a long time that they lay there, Riley staring up at the beams in the ceiling, and for the first time since he’d arrived in Montreal, he thought, Yeah. I could live here.

CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

Louis

November in Montreal gave a certain clarity to the light that Louis had never seen anywhere else. Early mornings, especially, felt like the world had been washed overnight and presented clean and sparkling. It was exactly this kind of light that was coming through the window when Louis opened his eyes that morning, rolled over, realized he’d forgotten to shut the curtains, and discovered that Riley was still there.

He froze in surprise as his palm landed on the firm warmth of Riley’s bare shoulder, and paused, letting his eyes drift down the exposed length of Riley’s back, to where the two perfect mounds of his creamy white ass disappeared under the sheet. He bent to press his lips to the smooth skin beside his palm, and decided not to go anywhere for a while.

He had no idea how long he’d been watching Riley when he finally stirred, rolled over, groggily blinked up at him, and looked momentarily panicked.

“Oh shit.” He sat up on his elbows. “I fell asleep.”

Louis smiled, pressing his lips to his shoulder again. “Mhm.”

“Sorry.”

“Why?” He began moving his lips toward Riley’s collarbone.

Riley scrubbed his face with one hand. “Uh… I don’t know. No reason, I guess.” He allowed Louis to push him back down onto the bed, and his hands came to Louis’ hips as he rolled onto him. His eyes met Louis’ as Louis pushed up on his hands and looked down at him. His mouth curved into a knowing smile. “Don’t we have a flight to catch?”

Louis lifted one shoulder. “Eventually.”

The flight was the first leg of a weeklong East Coast swing. Three games against the New York cluster: Islanders, Devils, finishing off with a game against the Rangers. The press was hyping the Rangers game up like some kind of era-defining showdown. Not only was Montreal’s rivalry with New York legendary, but it would be the first time Riley had faced his old team. The arena would be packed with celebrities and journalists, and fans who might have mixed feelings about Riley playing for one of their oldest rivals.

Needless to say, Louis was worried. Riley’s first game back since the concussion had not gone well, and the pressure being put on the Rangers matchup was not going to be easy for him to deal with. They only had two games to get him into shape, and Louis wasn’t sure they would make it.

An hour into the flight, he was hunched over his laptop at his usual spot in the back of the cabin with his headphones on, when a tap on the shoulder pulled his eyes up. Holly stared grimly down and beckoned for him to follow her.
