Hanna licked her lips. “I’m…not sure I should ask for what I need.”

She could tell the difference in how they moved now, how Nicco slid like a cat, quiet, soft on his feet, coiled always ready to pounce, and how Ash walked with pride, a touch of lightness to his steps, the hard-won joy of a man who had decided that life was worth living, no matter what.

“What if—” Nicco pulled a strand of hair back, exposing her neck, making shivers run up Hanna’s spine. “What if…we guessed at what you need?”

Hanna took in a shaky breath. “That…might work.”

Ash chuckled beside her, but the sound was laced with a new kind of want, dark and heady, and full of anticipation. “So full of control, Hanna. Always in control. Do you want to give it up? Just for a little while?”

She nodded. She was tired. Weary of carrying it all, and now so much more, and for better or for worse, she trusted them. “That’s exactly what I want…”

“Good,” Nicco murmured against her ear, the word hot, but not as hot as his tongue on the sensitive apex of her neck, as the burning kisses he ran down the column of her throat. “I think we could all use…a distraction.”

Hanna gripped the stool in front of her and let out a whimper that surely couldn’t have come from the back of her own throat. “Totally… A distraction.”

Ash slowly pulled her hands from the stool and slid it out of the way, so she stood trapped between their hard bodies, aware of her own labored breathing, of Ash’s chest pressed against her own, Nicco’s cock insistent at her hip.

Ash lifted her chin with one strong finger, just as Nicco had done that afternoon. “Tell me not to kiss you, Hanna.”

She shook her head. “I… I can’t tell you not to…”

Because she’d been craving his touch for too long, craving that inevitable thing between them that had stretched for more than a decade. “Ash, you know what I’ve always wanted from you.”

For once, Ash didn’t seem to have a reply. Instead, he held her gaze and lowered his mouth to hers.

It was a kiss years in the making, denial turned into a cataclysmic event that made her pulse race and her nipples tighten, and her pussy clench on emptiness. She reached one hand up to cup Ash’s face, bringing him closer, as close as they could possibly be, and slid the other behind her, tugging on Nicco’s belt loop to draw him tight against her back. It felt right, that way, the three of them breathing the same air, trying to heal in a moment of connection and achy, desperate lust.

Ash pulled back, his eyes glazed and his lips swollen. “Kiss him, Hanna.”

She nodded, turning in their shared hold to let Nicco tug her in, lips colliding, their tastes mingling on her tongue. She had been pretending the attraction away for days, pretending there was nothing growing or building between them, but kissing Nicco at the gala had been a foretold event in the stars.

As had the moment they all gave in to each other.

Hanna finally pulled back, catching her breath, feeling the swollen jut of her lip from where Nic had grazed his teeth against sensitive flesh. “Please…” she murmured into the space between. “I need all of it.”

Later, she could figure out the connection Ash and Nicco shared, how much lay between them. But for now, the only thing she needed more than to kiss them was for them to each give in to each other.

Nicco stiffened. “Hanna…maybe…”

But Ash tugged them both in, stealing a kiss from Hanna before sliding his big hand into Nicco’s hair and dragging their mouths together. It was magnetic, the harsh, masculine battle, rough touches and seeking fingers, and the sight of it made her ache, until she was practically rubbing her legs together, in desperation for some friction.

Ash and Nicco finally broke apart, and Ash looked down at her with a dangerous grin. “Looks like you’re ready to ask for what you need, Han.”

She nodded. “Take me to bed.”

Nicco watched as Ash picked Hanna up again. This time, the tug in his belly had nothing to do with envy and everything to do with the kiss he’d just shared with his best friend. The kiss that had been a long time coming, and had still been so very much better than he could have ever imagined.

He followed them deeper into the cabin as if dragged by invisible strings, but there had been no denying the connections they had all seemed to thread over the last few days, and growing so taut, it had only been a matter of time before they snapped.

The bed in the main bedroom was large, and Ash gently placed Hanna down in the middle of it. A small golden lamp and the light of the moon lit the room, and Nicco suddenly found he couldn’t wait another second to see Hanna bathed in golden light.

“Ash, how fast do you think we can get her out of those clothes?” he murmured.

Ash grinned, a devil’s grin, and leaned down to unlace her boots, tossing shoes and socks to the side.

Nicco crawled down the bed, capturing Hanna’s mouth with his own, before laving harsh kisses down her throat, biting at the curve of her smooth breast until Hanna was panting and gripping the sheets. He pushed her shirt over her head, throwing it to the floor, before kissing her nipples through the fabric of her cotton bra.

Hanna arched up off the bed, her back bowing. “Fuck, Nic…”
