Of the needy expression in her eyes as she gazed up at him.

“You want to know if I’ve ever gotten down on my knees and begged,” he murmured, finally giving into the instinct to push that loose curl behind her ear.

“Have you?” she whispered.

“Have you?” he challenged.

Hanna nodded. “Yes…”

Nicco ran his hand from the curve of her ear down the column of her throat, loving the way her breath hitched as she held his gaze.

“And?” he prompted.

“And…I loved every second of it,” she confessed.

Nicco felt his lips pull into something like a smile. Surely, it had been a rare night for him indeed.

“So did I,” he admitted. “It was…unexpected. Not unwelcome.”

“Did you crawl?” Hanna darted out her tongue to lick her lower lip, and all Nicco could think about in that moment was the way that tongue would feel wrapping around his cock as she begged for it…

“He told me to crawl,” he replied simply, like his heart was pounding a rhythm of panic and desire. It was a hell of a way to spill the truth, but never once in his life had he done anything by the book. “So…I crawled.”

“Niccolo…” His name was a benediction on her swollen lips, and she finally closed her eyes. “I…I think I would have very much liked to see you do that.”

Nicco realized the truth as he said it. “I think I would have liked you to see it…”

She opened her eyes again, holding his gaze in the maelstrom of desire and truth. “Does Ash know?”

Nicco managed a tight smile. “Probably. He always seems to know too much.”

Hanna looked at him more closely then. “Does anyone know?”

Nicco shook his head. “You do.”

She took that for the confession it was, and raised a hand to his cheek. His body was so in tune with her that her touch was sure to make him shatter. “Thank you for telling me,” she whispered, stroking his skin with such soft, rhythmic movements that Nicco wasn’t sure if he wanted to fall asleep in her arms or throw her over his shoulder and find the nearest flat surface.

He held her gaze and spoke the truth. “Thank you for hearing me.”

Hanna brushed her thumb across his lower lip, and it was the work of instinct to suck her into his mouth, to run his tongue over the tip of her thumb until she was closing the space between them. “Nicco,” she whispered. “Do you think Ash would…know about this?”

He released her thumb from his mouth. “Would you care if he did?”

She seemed to consider that for a moment. “I think… I think we’re already past the point of no return…”

He nodded. “So you’re saying you want to jump?”

Hanna raised one hand to run her fingers through his hair. “Tell me to jump, Niccolo.”

He shook his head. “No, Leone. Tell me, do you want to?”

She hesitated, then nodded. “So fucking badly.”

That made him smile. “Then jump.”

They met in a collision, nothing short of detonation and adrenaline, a whirlwind of impossible need that shoved any other thought completely out of the window. Hanna’s lips were soft and full, and she didn’t hold back, didn’t let him come to her, instead meeting him in the midst of battle with a promise and determination, wielding her desire like a broadsword, until they were both panting and shaking in each other’s arms.

“Do you hear…?” Hanna pulled back, even though Nicco would have given just about anything to keep her lush body pressed against his own.
