She giggled and leaned against him, still watching the rays. “Oh my gosh,” she said with a contented sigh. “I could stay here forever, watching them. I just love them so much.”
“We could stay here forever,” Daddy said, “or at least a while longer, but we should probably move on to the next thing, before the aquarium opens, and people start showing up.”
Lizzie agreed reluctantly and allowed herself to be led away from the ray tank, and further through the aquarium. They were at the last set of tanks near the gift shop when they were joined by a large group of over-excited Littles on a sugar high. Just the way they talked and screamed and carried on gave her anxiety and when Daddy leaned over and whispered, “Let’s get out of here,” she couldn’t agree fast enough.
She took Daddy’s hand and they all but ran out the exit, collapsing into a fit of giggles once they were in the hallway. Lizzie was laughing so hard she could barely breathe and she didn’t even know why.
“Did you have fun, babygirl?” Daddy asked when she caught her breath.
“So. Much. Fun!” she panted, holding her sides. “I wanna go back when it’s not so busy. I could watch the rays all day long!”
“We will definitely go back another time,” Daddy agreed. “But for now, what do you want to do next? Bumper cars?”
Lizzie wrinkled her nose. She loved bumper cars the absolute mostest, but her stomach hurt from the sweet breakfast and from laughing so hard. “Can we do games first? We need to try to win Bert a friend after all.”
“That’s right, we do.” Daddy bent at the waist in front of her and the next thing she knew she was flying through the air onto his shoulder and he was carrying her like a sack of potatoes.
“I’ll warn you,” Daddy growled as he carried her down the crowded hall, “I like games very much, and I’m very, very competitive. You know what that means don’t you?”
“No!” she shrieked. The bouncing was not doing any favors for her upset tummy, but she was having the time of her life.
“It means… prepare to meet your maker cause I’m gonna destroy you,” Daddy growled in the voice of a ninja video game villain, tickling her sides wildly.
“Hmph!” she cried. “In your dreams! I’m also very competitive, and I’m cuter, so I’m gonna win for sure.”
“We will see about that!”
He rushed her through the amusement park, to the midway where they had all the games and set her down in front of the one with the squirt guns and horses. “Shall we start here? And shall we make it interesting?”
The glint in his eyes both intrigued her and scared her. “What do you mean?”
He leaned over to whisper in her ear. “If I win, you get on your knees after lunch and suck my cock, and then I get to stick it in all your holes.”
Her mouth dropped open and she looked scandalized. “Daddy!” she gasped. “That’s naughty!”
“I never said I was good,” he responded with a wink. “So are you in? Or what?”
“Not only am I in, I’m gonna win!”
“Are you? We’ll see about that!” They sat down on stools in front of the game, and Daddy pulled a card from his wallet, tapping it to the machine to activate the squirt guns before peeling off a five and handing it to the attendant behind the counter “for a tip”.
“All right, all right, all right!” The attendant crowed, sounding way too much like Matthew McConaughey in the stoner movie. “We’ve got the little lady and the biker man in a race to see who will win the biggest prize of the morning! Racers, get on your marks. Get set. Go!”
Lizzie shrieked as she pulled the trigger, shooting water directly into the clown’s mouth. She’d been raised in a family of men and was a pretty good shot at the range so this was a piece of cake. Daddy didn’t know what he was in for. She watched as her horse shot in front of Ace’s, moving fast toward the finish line.
“What the heck?” Ace grumbled beside her, shooting and missing.
“The little lady is killing the competition!” the attendant cried, getting way too into it. “She’s leaving the big bad biker dude in the dust!”
Lizzie shrieked with laughter and Ace glared. Her horse reached the finish line before Ace’s was halfway down the track. “I won! I won! Neener neener neener!” she cried, sticking her tongue out at Ace. She was not a gracious winner.
“So you did. You have skills I wasn’t expecting,” Ace deadpanned. “There is more to you than meets the eye, little one.”
“Yup! Don’t forget it!” Lizzie cried, and picked out her prize, a mini stuffed lion Squishmallow.
“Can we play again?”
Ace winced. “How about we move on to a different game? Something that will be more of a fair competition?”
