“There is no face.”
“There is absolutely a face.”
I turn around. He's standing behind me with his arms crossed, looking far too pleased with himself.
“What the fuck are you talking about?”
He points directly at me. “This.”
“That explains nothing.”
“The stupid Liv face.”
“I don't have a Liv face.”
“You do.”
“I don't.”
“Mate, I've worked with you for fifteen years. I know what your normal face looks like. That's not it.”
I stare at him. He grins.
“Fuck off.”
“There it is. That's your normal face.”
Liv walks over before I can respond, wiping her hands down the front of her jeans. “What's happening?”
“Apparently I have a face.”
She looks at me. Actually studies me.
“You do.” She adds with a smile.
I stare at her. “Not you too.”
“It's pretty gross.”
Ben points at her. “Thank you.”
“Go make a balloon giraffe.”
“Dog.”
“Whatever.”
He walks away looking unbearably pleased with himself.
“I still don't know why he can make balloon animals.”
Liv shrugs. “Maybe he had a previous life as a children's entertainer.”
“He's been a firefighter since he was twenty.”
“Stripper?”
I look at her. “What kind of strippers are you hiring?”
