“You do not need to fear me, baby. I will keep you safe and I will explain everything once you have rested.” His hand cups my jaw, without hesitation, I lean into the touch.
The heat from his palm, making feel warm and cozy.
“I like that.” His voice low, and deep.
The sound ripples through me making me shiver and clench.
“Come on, gorgeous, let’s get you cleaned up, fed and into my bed so you can catch up on some sleep.”
I scoff at his wording of how I look. I know I look bad, fuck I can smell myself.
“Hey. I don’t lie, babe. I say it how I see it. Now come on, there is a four-showerhead shower waiting for you.” He winks.
Holy shit.
I have never had a shower with four water heads before.
Tyson helps me off the bed, with his arm around my waist, he leads me out of the medical room and down the hall. We pass rooms with closed doors, but that does not mite the sex noises that are coming from inside.
Moans and grunts echo along the hall. Tyson chuckles as we keep walking, my body gets warm, from the sounds.
“The men like to fuck, you will get used to that.”
“Why will I need to get used to it? I won’t be here long” I reply, the words leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
Tyson looks down at me, his nostrils flaring, he licks his lips before biting down on the bottom one. He just looks at me, not speaking. If I was an insecure woman, or someone who was severely affected by what she went through, I would have cowered but fuck that.
I survived and yes, the club saved me, but I am alive.
He then scoffs his shoulder losing the tension.
“We’ll see.” Is all the words I get before he starts walking again and I have no choice but to go with him, since the big oaf is holding my hand, we climb some stairs.
Checking out the black walls, and dark wooden floor, all I see is doors that hide many secrets, but also keep noisy people like me out.
I am naturally curious, and it has got me in trouble a time or two before now. My foster mom always used to joke that one day I’d get my tongue cut out for asking too many questions, because she had already seen me poke at things I shouldn’t.
Maybe she was right. Maybe I never learned how to leave well enough alone.
Even now, here after everything that has happened, I can feel that same restless itch under my skin. The need to understand, to pull apart the pieces until I get the information I need to settle my racing thoughts.
I scoff, making Tyson look down at me while he walks. I shrug, not wanting to get into my thoughts with him.
It’s stupid, really. After everything I’ve been through, you’d think I’d have learned to keep my head down, keep quiet, but if I stop asking questions, stop trying to understand the world around me, I will go mad. Literally and I cannot become one of those people who just accepts whatever happens to them.
I refuse to be that.
“This is my room.” His voice snaps me back to reality and way from my crazy thoughts.
“This is nice.” I say sarcastically, looking around the typical male room.
Dark furniture, dark bedding. Clothes on the floor, a few biker boots, I mean you can never have too many shoes, right? Even a ,man.
I stop shirt of my thoughts. What the hell is wrong with me? I was kidnapped, and beaten, and yet here I am assessing how many pairs of boots a man should have.
My mind is seriously fucked up.
