That’s a first for me.

This time when I look over, there’s a man standing behind Blake who looks stiff as a board. I sit up in my seat, my body alert. Something about this doesn’t feel right.

Rage flows through me as I watch the guy put his hands on Blake’s shoulders and begins to massage them. Her shoulders are practically touching her ears as she attempts to shake him off without being too obvious.

What the fuck?

BLAKE

Out of all the places to go in Virginia Beach, he just happens to pick where I work?

I’ve never seen the Saint’s Outlaws MC: Virginia Beach Chapter set foot in Lusti Ravn until tonight, and I’ve been working here for a very long time.

It’s almost like he wants to make every waking hour of my day completely fucking miserable.

He’s thrown me off my game tonight.

I’m not usually behind the bar, but bartending comes as second nature. But knowing he’s here waiting for any tiny sliver of an opening to annoy me, it’s messing with my head.

More so than knowing pervy Russ is in the office watching all of us on the cameras. It wouldn’t surprise me if he were whacking off back there.

Fucking creep.

I know he’s been waiting for the MC club to come in tonight. He hasn’t shut up about it all week. I can’t put my finger on why, though. We’ve had high-end clients in here before, and he didn’t bat an eye. But this time he seems so… eager. And for what? Russ isn’t the type of guy to want to make friends with someone unless he’s getting something out of it. And he better be the one coming out on top.

I’m neglecting my rail as I watch their table. Curse is doing a damn good job of keeping them entertained, but Sling doesn’t seem into it. He’s watching, sure, but he doesn’t seem to be yearning for the next in line.

And that’s red flag number two because Curse puts on a hell of a show.

Sweaty palms landing on my shoulders making me jump, breaking me from my thoughts.

“I thought I told you to let me know when the motorcycle club got here?” Russ asks in my ear, low enough for only me to hear.

His warm breath hits my neck, making me recoil. I try to slide out of his grasp in a poor attempt to create any sort of space between us, but his palms dig in, holding me in place. I laugh lightly as I try to blow off the pain he’s causing, not wanting to create a scene in front of the customers.

This isn’t what they’re paying me for.

“I was making sure they got settled and had a dance in before I came and got you,” I lie through my teeth.

I wasn’t going to come back there and get him at all.

He doesn’t pay me enough to be his errand bitch too. I’m already the one keeping this place running.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Big Jack grow alert as he watches the exchange. He starts pushing off the wall near the entrance, ready to come to my defense as I finally shrug out of Russ’s hold, grabbing a bottle out of the well to make it less obvious as I make a drink no one ordered.

Hell, from the way this night has been going, I might be the one to drink it.

“Offer him the champagne room on the house. He can have his pick of who he wants. Let him know I want to talk to him afterwards.”

I side eye Russ. Never in my entire time of working here, and I mean never, has he offered the champagne room up for free. What the hell is going on?

“Why don’t you ask him yourself?” I ask as Sling pushes out of his seat, his sights set on Russ.

“Oh, well, I don’t think that’s necessary. He will probably like hearing it from you better,” Russ rambles out his excuse instead of just saying he’s too much of a pussy to approach Sling himself.
