It’d been a fantastic day.

After sleeping like a baby, I woke up this morning feeling refreshed. The only way I knew last night wasn’t a dream was because I was still sore down below.

Naturally, I’d replayed the reel of the filthy things I’d done with Mr Devlin multiple times as I’d got ready for work. And another five million times since then, but somehow, I hadn’t let it distract me too much from work.

I was so excited to be finally working on the app. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I was determined to make it a success.

After reading through some documents Heath Devlin had sent regarding the financials and the protocols I needed to follow, I made a list of potential celebrity targets then sent them to Mr Devlin for approval.

It was important to do that today because these mega stars got booked up far in advance, so once I had the green light, I’d need to start contacting agents.

Hopefully the Devlin family had some connections to speed up the process. All we needed was one big name to launch the app with a bang.

Both Joe and Dana were out at meetings today so I hadn’t got to have lunch with them, which was for the best.

They’d probably take one look at me, instantly know I’d had amazing sex last night and insist that I give them all the details. Which I absolutely couldn’t.

With all the work on the app, the day had flown by and it was already past seven. I should’ve left on time, but I was enjoying this project so much I didn’t want to stop.

‘I’m heading off now,’ Calista said. ‘You should too, especially as you worked late yesterday.’

‘I know.’ I smiled, thinking that wasn’t the only reason I left late last night… ‘I’m going to leave soon too. I just want to finish something first.’

‘Okay.’ She nodded. ‘See you tomorrow.’

Once I’d completed the list of the Sated authors I wanted to approach about writing erotic stories for the app, I shut down my computer.

Just as I headed to the lift, my mobile rang. It was an unknown number.

‘Hello?’

‘Hello,’ a deep, instantly recognisable voice said through the phone.

Mr Devlin.

My breath hitched and my pulse rocketed as a flashback from last night popped into my head.

‘Hi!’ I said a little too eagerly.

‘Are you alone?’ he asked.

‘Yes,’ I said, my heart racing with anticipation.

Don’t get excited. He’s probably just calling to discuss the celebrities.

‘Come to my office. We should discuss the list you sent over.’

See. Told you it was just about work.

He’d made it very clear that last night was a one-off and wouldn’t happen again, so it was stupid to let my imagination run wild with dreams of a repeat performance.

‘Okay,’ I replied.

‘I know it’s late, but I’ve only just had a chance to look at it and I’m travelling to Paris tomorrow morning and the sooner we can lock down a name, the better.’

‘I agree. I’m coming!’ I replied, then I remembered that the last time I’d said those words, I meant it in a completely different way.

After grabbing my handbag, I headed up to his office, wondering if now that I was working on the project, my pass would give me permanent access to this floor.
