There was a knock at the door.

“Enter,” he called without looking away from her.

Taren walked in, a female demon behind him. Some were more human looking than others. This one had dark hair that reached her waist and black eyes. They slid to Diemos, then Kyler, and she smirked.

Diemos flung a hand toward the velvet couch. “Over there.”

Taren pulled his shirt off and grabbed the female’s hand, tugging her closer. He put his hand on the top of her head and pushed her to her knees. “Suck me hard.”

The female demon undid his pants, pulled out Taren’s flaccid cock, and began sucking. Kyler tried to look away.

Diemos grabbed her and tossed her on the bed. She tried to scramble away, but he grabbed her ankle and tugged her back, climbing on after her. Manhandling her, he shifted her so that she was sitting between his legs, facing the live sex show just getting started. Diemos held her jaw, making her watch.

“Maybe this will get you in the mood?” he hissed into her ear.

She blinked, tears filling her eyes as she watched Taren thrust into the female’s mouth, his eyes never leaving Kyler, a smirk on his lips.

She’d been a fool for even thinking their plan would work. What kind of fucking idiot thought they could manipulate Diemos—the king of hell? He was a demon who didn’t understand love or kindness or mercy.

She’d let Scarlet fill her head with fantasy, with visions of freedom, of being saved from this nightmare. Of being reunited with Rocco.

But no one was going to save her.

Things progressed, and she gagged as the smell of sex filled the room.

“Does that turn you on, darling?” Diemos rasped against her ear. “Watching Taren plow some bitch?”

“No,” she gasped out. “It’s disgusting. He’s disgusting.”

He moved quickly, shoving her forward and flipping her, covering her with his body. “Get out,” he barked at Taren.

There was a rustle of clothes, then without a word, Taren and the female left.

“Why are you doing this?” she said. “What was that supposed to do?”

He held her hands above her head with both of his and shoved her legs apart with his own. “I wanted to see if you are capable of genuine emotion. If you are capable of feeling anything at all?”

“I don’t understand,” she whispered.

“Everything you’ve said to me the last couple of weeks, everything you’ve done, the kisses, the…the way you were with me in this bed, it was all fucking lies, wasn’t it?” he spat.

“No…” She shook her head. “No, it wasn’t.” He was going to hurt her, and she couldn’t take it. She couldn’t take it anymore.

He dropped his face into the crook of her neck. “I believed you. I wanted you to love me. No one has ever loved me. They do what I tell them out of fear, not love. I wanted that from you so badly that I allowed myself to fall for your lies.” He lifted his head again. “How pathetic you must think me?”

“I don’t think that…I care about you. I do…I…”

“You love me?” he yelled and ground against her.

Oh god, he was hard.

He did it again, grinding into her, and roared. Panting, furious as he looked into her eyes. “Do you want to know how I know?”

“Please, Diemos, you’re wrong…”

“The smile you gave me when I said you could leave this room. Real pleasure, true joy, it lit you up. And it was the first genuine happiness I’d seen on your face, in your eyes. You have never…never looked at me that way,” he yelled. “You were going to try to escape, weren’t you? You were going to try to leave me?”

In the face of his fury, the realization that there was nothing she could do to stop what was about to happen…and the terror she was feeling, washed from her. This monster had abused her since she’d arrived in Hell, and it didn’t matter what he did to her now, did it?
