“Yes.”
“Question.”
“You’re interrupting my fantasy.”
“But I have to know. Is this something that you’d actually like to happen, or is it strictly a fantasy?”
“Was yours?” She raised her brows at him.
“Got it. Keep going.”
“You pleasure me with your hand while I’m standing there just like that. Afterward, I return the favor, and even though we’re naked in front of the windows, nobody knows except us.”
“Wow. I’ll never look at the conference room the same way again. Ever.”
“We can’t have sex in your office, though. It’s against the rules.”
“Whose rules?”
“Our rules. However, you do have a home office, right?”
“I like the way you think.”
He’d just turned onto his street, and her anticipation skyrocketed as they neared his house. She could hardly believe this was real. Her fantasies were becoming reality, minus one important part—the emotional aspect.
It had been easy to describe how she wanted him physically, but she couldn’t divulge the rest. Like he’d said, neither of them wanted the complications or messiness inherent in a real relationship. It was best not to go there, especially since she was leaving soon.
She’d have to be content with this, knowing it would be short-lived. At least she’d have a lot of good memories, which was a lot more than she’d had before. It would have to be enough.
They were barely through the door when he pulled her down the hall and into his home office, where they re-enacted the fantasy he’d described. Even though they could have taken their time, they were so worked up that it was a rather fast and furious coupling.
Afterward, they changed into swimsuits (together this time) and went into the pool to cool off. They spent more time canoodling than swimming, and not long after, they reluctantly agreed that he should take her home. When they arrived, Maria’s car was in the driveway.
“Do you want to come in for a few minutes?” Morgan asked.
“No. I’m afraid that if I do, she’ll know.” He smiled when he said it, but she sensed his fear.
“So, you’re sending me into the lion’s den alone.”
“Sorry, but she’s my sister. One look at my face, and she’ll know I just had sex with her best friend.”
“She knows me pretty well too.”
“That’s different. She probably thinks I’m the last person you’d want to have sex with.”
She wanted to correct him but decided not to. It was probably better to let him believe this was a new development, her wanting him.
“I guess I’ll see you tomorrow morning, then.”
He nodded. “I would kiss you goodbye, but she might be looking.” Instead, he reached over and squeezed her hand. “It was a great weekend.”
“It was.” She squeezed back.
She opened the passenger door, and she had just stepped out when he spoke again.
“Morgan?”
“Yeah?”
