We’re really good at this, she thought as their bodies came together in the most intimate of dances. That was how she thought of it, as a dance, each of them taking turns leading and following, their bodies swaying to the unheard music playing in their heads.
His hands and mouth caressed her everywhere as he thrust into her like his life depended on it.
“Are you close?” he asked, panting between each word.
She nodded, and that was all it took. They let go, crashing against each other until she wasn’t sure who came first and didn’t care. She simply gave in to the intense pleasure and let herself be carried away, riding the waves with him until they were gently deposited back on shore.
Chapter 22
Bryce stroked her hair, her head nestled on his chest. They were lying atop the covers, still naked, allowing their bodies to cool. For the moment, he wasn’t thinking about anything except how soft and lustrous her hair was and how good it felt to have her body curled around him.
She was breathing softly, the air tickling his chest hair, and he wondered what she was thinking about. He should have known he wouldn’t have to wait long to find out.
She folded her hands on his chest and looked up at him. “Please tell me you’re not regretting this.”
He shook his head. “No regrets.”
“Thank you!”
He chuckled at her exuberance. “I take it that was the right answer.”
She giggled. “It was the perfect answer.”
He brushed her lips with his thumb, and in a surprise move, she sucked it into her mouth.
When she let go, he said, “What am I going to do with you?”
“I have plenty of ideas.”
He shifted them to their sides, wrapped an arm around her waist, and pulled her flush against him. Her body was lean and strong, her limbs toned from dance, and she was graceful even in bed. It amazed him how much he wanted her.
She rubbed her hands over his chest in sensual circles, and he grew hard. She obviously felt it too, and she playfully wriggled her hips against him.
“You’re a dangerous woman.”
“How so?”
He wasn’t prepared to tell all, so he went with a watered-down version. “You’re too tempting. Now that I’ve tasted you, I’m going to want you all the time.”
“What’s wrong with that?”
“Well, for one thing, I’ve got Molly to think about.”
“We’ll be discreet.”
She looked at life so simply, unlike him. He’d already been worried that Molly was becoming too attached to Chloe, more so than with any of the previous nannies. In a matter of weeks, she’d return to Michigan, and they’d probably never see her again. Sure, she might visit them when she came to see Elle, but it wouldn’t be the same. They had separate lives that just happened to intersect temporarily.
“Do you know how hard it will be walking around here pretending like nothing’s changed?”
She smiled up at him. “It’ll be hard for me too, but we’ll make it work.”
“Are you always this optimistic?”
“Yes.”
He laughed. “How do you do it?”
“Why do you worry so much? It’s just how we’re made.”
